This is Manal.
Welcome to Shifting from External to Internal Gratification.
The intention of this meditation is to explore how you may be attached to external outcomes to measure your success,
Guide you to measure success by how you feel internally,
And to establish your connection with your authentic self.
Many of us are going through life measuring our success based on external factors.
The house we live in,
The car we drive,
Our children's success,
The size of the ring,
The number of academic degrees,
Size of the bank account,
These are all natural expressions that we may have picked up from societal conditioning.
By focusing on the external gratification to measure our growth or success,
We are forgetting to connect with our inner gratification as the measure of our success.
It's not the outcome that gives you joy,
It's in your journey.
The happiness,
The laughter,
The presence,
The connection,
The appreciation,
The gratitude,
It is in the life you're living now.
Now is how you feel internally,
Not based on external factors,
But based on how you are feeling internally.
We have forgotten to honor the journey it takes to fulfill our desires.
Though we may get there immediately or in a while,
It is irrelevant.
You will get there.
We will all get there.
But if we don't enjoy the journey,
The outcome is meaningless.
If we measure our success based on the external,
We miss the opportunity to be aligned with our truth and our authentic self and to be perpetually aligned with happiness,
Love,
And worthiness.
Join me today in reconnecting with the truth of your journey.
We'll start this meditation with three grounding breaths.
Take a deep breath in and release.
Take a second deep breath in and release.
Take a deep breath in,
Your third and final deep breath in.
Indulge in the gap,
The place between the breath in and the breath out,
And release.
Let's start with awareness.
Become aware of how you judge your life.
How do you measure your success?
What are you waiting for to be happy?
Are there factors external to you that direct your happiness?
Connect with yourself in the third person as an observer.
Feel into your four bodies,
The physicality and the physical sensations and your judgment of your physical self.
Feel into your emotional body,
The emotions that surface when you focus on how you approach your perception of success in life.
Feel into your mental body,
Your judgments,
Your thoughts,
What comes into your mind.
Feel into your egoic body.
Do you feel defensive,
Offensive,
Are you trying to prove something to yourself or to others?
Awareness is these four bodies and the resistance that you connect with,
Which is a guide to your internal desires.
It allows you to see what is unwanted so you can start to understand what is desired.
Connect with the resistance on your four bodies and ask yourself,
What am I meant to learn?
What is the resistance meant to show me?
What is it that is not desired?
And ultimately,
What is it that I do desire?
Based on the topic of today's meditation,
I'll project that likely you're looking for peace,
Acceptance,
Self-love,
Compassion,
Worthiness,
Freedom,
Satisfaction,
Appreciation to feel a sense of arrived,
That sense of arrival,
Being aligned with yourself.
Take a moment to really explore what is your resistance telling you?
What is your greater desire?
Your messages from your body can come in the form of stories,
Emotions,
Visualizations,
Situations.
Just allow a deeper understanding of your body.
Take a moment to appreciate this recent awareness,
The perceptions.
Acknowledge that you have a choice.
This choice is to continue to look outside of you or to define yourself,
Your authentic self through alignment with your internal self.
You can redefine how you would like to measure your life through external conditions or internal connection.
Recognize that this life and these underlying emotions have led you to clarity.
This clarity is self-empowerment and alignment with your inner power.
This clarity is power.
Take your power back.
Align with your inner power.
Align with your truth.
Align with your authentic self.
And at this point,
Release,
Release,
Release,
Release all of the resistance associated with living life judged by external factors.
Release.
Trust your body knows exactly what to do.
Take another quick scan of your body.
Connect with resistance on any of your four bodies.
See the resistance.
Smell the resistance.
Taste the resistance.
Hear the resistance.
Know the resistance.
Recognize what is unwanted.
Redefine as what is desired.
Appreciate this resistance,
Your journey,
The human that you are,
Your desire to take yourself back and align with your inner power and release,
Release,
Release any of the resistance that you connected with.
Now create an intention of awareness to choose to be self-empowered,
To choose to approach life success through your connection with your inner self,
Your happiness,
Your satisfaction from a place of unlimited possibilities,
Self-empowerment and alignment with your inner power.
Shower your body with the light of the universal divine,
The light of peace,
The light of groundedness,
The light of joy,
The light of presence and the light of love.
As your day unfolds,
Recognize moments of measuring life through the external rather than internally.
Slowly become aware and acknowledge the feelings.
Appreciate your opportunity to let go and grow and release.
Be compassionate as you journey and recondition yourself.
It has taken you years to get here.
Let your body,
Heart,
Mind and ego take the time that it needs to recondition to a place of freedom,
Worthiness and love,
The time that is best for your highest good.
These concepts will begin to integrate in your heart,
Mind,
Body and soul.
Feel free to return to this meditation until you recondition yourself to discover and embrace the life that you want to live.
