Pounding Waves in Hawaii

There's a wonderful place to body surf, on the south shore of Oahu, called Sandy Beach. The waves are a joy to watch and listen to - but pretty treacherous if you go in the water. The local body surfers make it look easy - but it's a very heavy wave that breaks quickly. I'll sit and watch and listen and soak it all in. Then..... I'll go catch a few.
