The Five of Disks represents a time of hardship,
Loss,
And insecurity.
However,
It also carries the wisdom of resilience,
Determination,
And the power of the human spirit to overcome adversity.
In this exercise,
We will be using active imagination to help you integrate the wisdom of the Five of Disks and gain insights into your inner world.
So find a quiet,
Comfortable place to sit or lie down where you won't be disturbed.
Start by taking a few deep breaths,
Allowing yourself to breathe naturally now,
And just bringing your attention to the breath,
Wherever you happen to feel it the most.
If at any point you do get distracted,
Just bring your attention back to the exercise.
And now visualize yourself standing in front of a desolate and abandoned building.
This building represents the part of you that feels lost,
Helpless,
Or stuck.
Take a moment to observe the building,
Noticing its size,
Shape,
And condition.
As you stand in front of the building,
Imagine a figure approaching you.
This figure represents your true self,
Your inner guide.
They invite you to enter the building and explore its depths.
As you enter the building,
You will feel a sense of security and peace.
As you approach the building,
You find yourself in a dark and dusty hallway.
Walk through the hallway and observe the surroundings.
Notice any details that stand out to you.
As you continue walking,
You come across a room filled with broken and discarded objects.
These objects represent the things in your life that are no longer serving you.
Take a moment to reflect on these objects and acknowledge the emotions that come up.
Next,
You come across a room filled with dusts and cobwebs.
This room represents the parts of yourself that you have neglected or ignored.
Take a moment to reflect on these parts of yourself and consider how you can nurture and care for them.
As you continue exploring the building,
You come across a room that is slightly brighter than the others.
This room represents a glimmer of hope or a new possibility.
Take a moment to reflect on this new opportunity and how you can make the most of it.
Consider how you might pursue it.
Finally,
You come across a door that leads you out of the building.
As you walk through the door,
You feel a sense of relief and freedom.
You turn around and observe the building one last time,
Acknowledging the hardships that it represents.
Take a moment to thank the figure for its guidance and support.
Just bring your attention back to the room now.
Any sounds or sensations?
And in your own time,
Opening your eyes again.
