Lenten Retreat: Walking with Christ through the Sorrowful Mysteries Day 2

With Carel-Piet van Eeden

The Scourging at the Pillar – Finding Meaning in Suffering Join us as we reflect on Christ’s suffering at the pillar, an unimaginable act of love and sacrifice. Pain and hardship are part of the human experience, yet Christ shows us that suffering, when united with love, can bring transformation. In this session, we explore the meaning of suffering in our own lives—not as something to be feared, but as an opportunity for growth, healing, and deeper faith. Come as you are—whether carrying your own wounds, praying for another, or simply seeking strength for life’s trials. Lent is a time of deep reflection, sacrifice, and spiritual renewal—a journey that mirrors Christ’s own path to the Cross. In this five-week retreat, we will walk with Christ through the Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary, meditating on His suffering and the profound love that led Him to lay down His life for us. Each session will be a time of scripture, reflection, and prayer as we explore how the Sorrowful Mysteries speak to our own lives—our struggles, our perseverance, and our hope in the promise of resurrection. This is a sacred and inclusive space where all are welcome, no matter your spiritual background or where you are on your journey.
