Welcome to the Celebrating Your Accomplishments meditation.

Get yourself into a comfortable position,

In a safe place.

Gently close your eyes and take a deep breath in,

Following your air into your nostrils,

Down to your belly,

Back up filling your lungs,

And then slowly let it out,

Following it as it escapes,

Taking all the negative energy with it.

Take three more deep breaths,

Into your nostrils,

Down to your belly,

Filling your lungs,

And then slowly releasing it.

One more time,

Into your nostrils,

Down to your belly,

Filling your lungs,

And then slowly releasing it.

Feel your body relaxing more with each breath.

Adjust your position as needed.

Now I want you to picture yourself during one of your most favourite accomplishments.

Where are you?

What's around you?

What smells are filling your nostrils?

And breathe that in deeper.

How do you feel?

Do you feel strong?

Happy?

Proud?

Proud?

Smile.

You should feel all of those and more.

You did that.

You.

Not your parents,

Not your siblings,

Not your spouse,

Or your children.

You did it.

You did it.

You have the ability to do that again.

You have the ability to accomplish anything you want.

Imagine another one of your accomplishments.

Where are you?

Who is around you?

What else do you sense?

And breathe that in deeper.

How do you feel?

Do you feel strong?

Do you feel happy?

Proud?

Smile.

Relax.

Relax.

Nothing else matters in this moment.

It is all about you right now.

Let everything else go.

This is your moment.

Cherish it.

Feel it.

You are safe.

You are calm.

You are at peace.

You are amazing.

You are amazing.

Notice your breath.

Is it slow and steady?

Take another deep breath.

Take another deep breath.

And when you are ready,

Slowly bring yourself back into the room.

Gently open your eyes.

Reach around yourself and give yourself a big hug.

Take as long as you need in this quiet moment.

Take a deep breath in and then gently blow it out.

Now go enjoy the rest of your day.

Remember that you are amazing and that you can accomplish anything that you set your mind to.

Namaste.

What I love about this practice is the importance of pausing to celebrate a job well done because the mind too quickly moves on to the next target to chase, and deliberately pausing to celebrate is a practice of self-compassion while building evidence that we’re capable of fulfilling our desires.
