Gratitude is one of the most powerful tools that we can use to help us to feel good on a daily basis and remind us to just come back home to ourselves and remind us how incredible the world is and the people of the world are.
And yet it's such a simple tool that all of us can access and use every single day of our lives if we wish to and if we choose to.
Today we'll do a gratitude-based meditation together and I'll throw in some music as well.
I'll play this flute for you over some nature sounds.
What we're going to do today is we're going to think of three things that we are grateful for in our everyday lives.
It can be big things or even really small things.
So it could be friends and family,
Animals and pets that we love in our life that bring us so much warmth and joy.
It can be the smallest things like just being grateful for a hot cup of tea.
And I always choose this because I love tea.
So choose three things in your life now that you are grateful for today.
I'll just give you a minute to do this.
And as you do this,
I'm just going to play some of these lovely nature sounds,
Which I recorded here in Wales,
In the UK.
And you may wish to close your eyes and start to breathe.
As you think of these things.
And all ready.
We think of the things we're grateful for.
We start to feel good.
And smile.
That we have here.
So in a minute,
We'll start a meditation together.
And we'll really dive into the three things that you've chosen.
And we'll sit with them.
And meditate with them.
And we'll explore our emotions a little bit deeper,
How these things make us feel.
And just allow that nice energy to come into our day.
Thank you for joining me today everyone.
My name's Lawrence Liebherr.
I'm a musician and producer.

Here in Wales in the UK.
On the island of Anglesey.
So you'll hear some nature sounds that I've recorded here in Wales through this piece.
And I'll play the flute for you as we go through.
And just use the flute as an anchor.
If you feel that your mind starts to wander.
Through the practice,
Just use the flute as a reminder to just come back.
To thinking about those things that we're grateful for,
Okay?
So we'll start with the first thing we're grateful for and we'll move through as the meditation goes on.
But let's start now just with our breath.
Just enter a nice comfortable position.
Comfortable for you.
Release any tension.
From the shoulders and the jaw.
And start to deeply inhale with the breath.
And hold.
And release.
And just breathe at your own pace everyone's got different pace that they're comfortable with Just nice deep breaths.
And just notice how our body and muscles start to relax.
Just drop that jaw,
Drop those shoulders.
Close those eyes if you wish to.
I'm still here with you.
And just notice your heartbeat maybe slow down.
And just start to welcome in those lovely sounds of nature.
Lovely birds just being,
The birds are just being.
And they're with you in this moment.
Maybe you can hear the river in the background.
And now as we're relaxed and we welcome the.
.
.
Good nice positive energy in with our breath We relax and release any tension and negativity on the out-breaths.
And now just bringing those thoughts to.
.
.
The first thing that you're grateful for today.
Just imagine it or imagine the person or the place or the thing and over the next few minutes just sit with those feelings and emotions Observe them.
How do they make you feel?
And still observing those feelings.
Do you feel grateful?
Does it make you smile?
And still breathing deeply now.
Start to bring into your mind.
The second thing.
That you're grateful for today.
And let's just sit with that for a few minutes.
Breathe deeply still.
And just observe remind yourself of any memories you have with this place or person or thing How do those memories make you feel?
Happy.
Excited warm and cozy.
Just sit with those thoughts and emotions over the next few minutes.
And develop that sense of real,
Deep peace.
Appreciation.
You still taking those deep breaths well done for sitting with your emotions and feelings and allowing them to just run through every cell.
Of your body.
Grace,
Gratitude.
Happiness,
Acceptance.
And now just allowing.
The third thing you're grateful for today.
To enter into your conscious.
Conscious mind Maybe you've got some memories with her?
Family,
Friends.
Animal.
Nature.
And just sit peacefully.
And these memories.
And notice how they make you feel today.
You And just continuing those deep breaths.
And just allowing those feelings of peace and gratefulness to flow.
Flow through our bodies.
Taking the place of any negative or toxic energy.
Which we breathe out on every outbreath.
Creating space for ourselves today.
To be able to feel.
Gratitude.
Apenas.
And peace.
And when you're ready,
Slowly start to bring your attention.
Back to the room.
Maybe open your eyes when you're ready to.
When you're comfortable.
And continue those big deep breaths.
Just breathe out any tension that still remains in the shoulders,
In the chest Let that tension go.
And hopefully the thoughts of your things that you're grateful for today.
Have brought with it emotions.
Relaxation.
Gratefulness.
And just allow yourselves back into the space now that you're in.
In your own time.
Feels good.
And we're back,
Everyone.
Welcome back,
Everyone.
And you can all give yourselves a big pat on the back.
Thank yourself.
For giving yourself the space.
And the time today.
To do a short meditation.
All about gratitude and hopefully you feel that feeling now.
And continue through your day today to just think of those three things.
If you ever have a stressful moment.
In the day or the evening today.
Just think back to your three things that you've chosen.
And observe how those things make you feel.
Be the Gods.
And that's what it's all about.
Thank you everyone so much.
I hope you had a good session today.
And feel free to come back and use this meditation video whenever you like because you can pick a different three things every time of course.
