Today is a great day to remember all the fun things we can do to create happiness for ourselves. My dear friend, Pierre Bensusan, has permitted me to use his track called ‘Sentimentales Pyromaniaques’ from the album 'Altiplanos'.

Let's begin our day with a little bit of happy talk and meditation in this short,

Yet impactful podcast designed to infuse a little bit of positivity into each moment of every day.

Let's get in the flow.

Sometimes we forget that we need to be happy in life,

Right?

Sometimes we forget.

We get so caught up in life,

The kids,

The job,

The husband,

The wife,

The significant other,

Whatever,

You know?

We get so caught up in that.

We need to step back sometimes and just go,

Whoa,

Wait a minute.

Self-care is so important.

It's so funny because I figure out what I'm going to talk about a day prior,

Right?

But it's so funny because I find myself,

Because I live a spirit-led life,

Right?

So I find myself living into what I'm about to talk about.

It's like every day.

It's the coolest and craziest thing,

Right?

And I don't know why I'm so surprised by it because spirit just does what spirit does,

Right?

So today I decided we are going to take,

Today is a day to create happy,

Right?

Right?

I love that.

So I got out my big box of happiness.

My friend gave me this box of happiness a while back and seriously,

I mean,

I used to call myself that Lori Albert,

The happy medium,

Right?

Because I'm just kind of genuinely happy all the time,

Right?

Mostly.

I mean,

We all have our days,

Right?

So anyway,

So she gives me this,

Right?

And what this is,

Is cards on things you can do to build the happy,

Right?

So I mean,

I love that.

And it's like,

And it's so perfect because I've got my happy mug and all of this is,

It's not coincidence,

But it's coincidence.

You know what I'm saying?

So I've got my happy mug.

I got that.

And then as I was getting ready to do this today,

I started thinking to myself,

Yellow is who created that yellow be the color of happy.

I don't know where that came from,

Right?

But it's perfect for it,

Right?

Yellow is like perfect for happy,

Right?

Then I started thinking yellow is also the color of the solar plexus.

Now,

Why is that significant?

Because check this out.

Your solar plexus is where your intuition sits.

It's where your gut instinct lives,

Right?

So when you know that you're going with your gut on a decision or whatever,

You know it feels right.

And that creates happiness,

Which then is,

You know,

So I don't know.

It's just all so related.

And then whenever I find those little intricacies,

It just blows my mind.

So anyway,

All right,

Before we get on to the meditation,

Which is kind of going to be fun too,

Right?

This is my challenge for us all today.

I'm super excited.

Okay,

I'm going to pick.

I've got all these happy cards.

Look at the cards.

They're like so awesome.

They have little happy faces on them.

They're just like,

It's just so perfect,

Right?

I'm going to pick.

I wish you could,

You know,

See all these cards.

There's like so many of them,

Right?

So I'm going to pick five cards.

And the challenge to you guys today is to take one of those things,

Especially if it's your day off,

And do one of the five things or you do all five.

I don't care.

So what I'm going to do is I've been,

They're really difficult to shuffle,

But I'm going to pick five cards right now.

And you,

The challenge is that you do one of these cards today,

Right?

Yay.

I'm taking it on.

Okay,

So here's number one.

Say hello to a complete stranger.

Oh,

I love that.

You know,

That's so true.

It creates happiness.

It really does.

Okay.

So here's number one,

Say hello to a complete stranger.

Number two,

Get lost in a bookstore.

Seriously,

I could spend hours in a bookstore.

I don't know about you guys,

But I could.

Okay.

So that's number two.

Number three,

Clean your desk.

Well that's only if you're going to work.

And we're not going to work today.

I'm just kidding.

If you go into work,

Whatever,

You can clean something out and clean up your closet.

If this says clean your desk.

All right,

That's three.

Okay,

So now four,

Learn something new.

That's nice.

See these are all so happy.

I have no idea where to buy these.

I have no idea where they came from.

I mean,

My friend bought them for me,

But I have no idea.

Wait,

So that was four.

Okay,

The last one is,

Oh boy,

Change your phone screen saver to something that makes you laugh.

Oh my gosh,

How do I love this?

I could not love that anymore.

You know what?

I'm going to do like four or five of these.

Okay,

So all right,

So I'm going to read them again.

Learn something new.

Clean your desk or closet,

I don't know why.

That doesn't make me happy,

But whatever.

Sometimes it,

You know,

It makes some people happy to each his own.

That's why you get a choice of the five.

Get lost in a bookstore or say hello to a complete stranger.

How cool is that?

All right,

So are we taking on the challenge?

Take it on,

Take it on.

Okay,

So now what we're going to do is I am going to play my Shruti box and we're going to chant on happiness.

Isn't that great?

So but here's the thing.

You know how I feel about this.

You don't have to actually chant with me.

Okay,

I will talk you through it.

If you choose,

You can do it.

You can do it in your head.

You don't have to do it out loud.

You can just listen to the vibration and just take it in.

That's always a great way to go,

Especially if you're a little shy or something like that or if you have your headphones on and you can't,

Right?

So that's what we're going to do.

Now the chant is this.

And what does that mean?

May all beings everywhere be happy and free.

Doesn't it like don't you just feel your vibration rising just by talking about this?

I mean seriously,

Right?

You're absolutely welcome to do so.

Okay,

And it means may all beings everywhere be happy and free.

So are we ready to do this?

And it's supposed to be fun,

Right?

So if you feel like it's not fun for you,

Then just sit back and listen.

It's about feeling the vibration and allowing the vibration to rise within you.

How beautiful is that?

So let's get ourselves comfortable.

Close your eyes.

Let's take a nice deep breath in.

Really beautiful and deep through your nose and out your mouth.

And release.
