I really appreciate you.
Today I'm inspired to talk about the powerful energy of passion and how there is purpose to our passion.
Passion is a burning fire within us,
Within our heart and soul that keeps us inspired,
Motivated,
Invigorated,
And helps us wake up and just like carpe diem.
Without passion,
Which is a potent and powerful energy that we conjure up within us,
We're really just living our life on autopilot,
Going through the daily motions with very little emotion,
Which emotion is energy in motion.
When we lack this energy of passion in our lives,
Our daily intentions aren't getting powered up and fueled by that inner fire and drive.
Our intentions are just neutral.
Without passion,
Our day-to-day lives can just begin to feel like pretty robotic,
So-so,
And like blah.
Most likely,
Whenever we're lacking passion,
We're busy over consuming,
Mind numbing,
And daydreaming about a totally different lifestyle.
I truly feel like a majority of humans on this planet right now have put their true heart and soul aligned passions on the back burner to pursue conventional living,
To take the mainstream path of supposed to do's and be's,
To pursue stability instead of taking risks and dream chasing,
And to settle for a mediocre feeling instead of a super zest for life.
The more we continue pushing our true passions to the side and settling for a mediocre feeling or a so-so feeling,
The more we forget that we're here on earth to live a totally lit up,
Passion full,
And purposeful life.
We're not here to live on autopilot,
Nor feel just so-so,
Nor be on a hamster wheel,
Nor live in Groundhog's Day.
We're here to fuel our lives through our burning passions and our zest for life.
However,
There is a ton of heavy societal conditioning and programming around our passions versus what we're supposed to do for work or what we have to do to make a living.
I always heard the phrase growing up that passions are just hobbies,
Which to me is total BS.
Passion is our greatest driver,
Energizer,
And motivator.
No one becomes super successful without passion fueling their creations.
Passion is the fuel to our success and prosperity.
You can turn any passion into a business or a career.
And yes,
You can be skilled at something,
But if you don't have passion behind it,
You will end up resenting it or it will totally drain you because it doesn't set your soul on fire and it's not in alignment.
Without passion,
Whatever you're doing will end up just dimming you down because it doesn't make you feel super alive nor lit up inside.
When you're consumed by things and immersed in things all day long that you're not passionate about,
This may begin to dim the light within you and you will feel it.
Your zest for life will dwindle and your energy will feel depleted.
Let me tell you,
This happened to me so hardcore when I was in my ninth year of my corporate sales career.
I felt totally unfulfilled,
Uninspired,
And burnt out.
And I realized I had pretty much zero passion for my job,
Which was super challenging for me because it was all I knew.
It was the only path to success that I knew at the time,
Yet it created so much inner anxiety,
A bit of depression.
I felt drained and demotivated.
I often felt sad.
I was always consuming and mind numbing and daydreaming about another parallel reality while at work.
And this was my soul telling me,
Like shaking me awake,
That it was time to follow my true heart and soul aligned passions and fuel myself back up with that energy of potent passion.
It was time to reignite my inner spark.
And how could I do that?
By going after what I truly desired,
By following my highest vision for my life,
Which is my true north.
The vision that I knew would make me feel so lit up and deeply fulfilled inside.
You know when you just see someone and meet someone so lit up by their career,
Their business,
Their lifestyle,
Like truly lit up by it,
And they're glowing and so radiant?
It's an energy.
We feel it.
Well,
When I left my corporate job and bet on myself,
Which was a huge act of self love,
And began traveling around the world and writing and creatively creating,
My glow came back.
Because my passion was giving me that inner glow.
It's the passion that I was pursuing that was lighting me up from the inside out.
Listen,
When we have a desire in our life and we decide to go for it,
That's when the passion energy is conjured up and energizes us and lights us up.
On the other hand,
If we have a vision or desire and we suppress it or put it on the back burner and decide to settle for so-so instead,
Then the energy of passion isn't conjured up,
And the desire stays stuck in the always a daydream realm,
And our creative life force energy doesn't get fueled up properly.
And we feel this.
We feel the impact of this.
Because we're energetic,
Electromagnetic beings.
We feel our own energy every single day because it's who we are.
Our energy is our spirit.
So my greatest piece of advice for today is to follow your passions.
There is purpose to passion.
And actually,
Passion leads you to your purpose.
Let's do a little reflection.
Tune into your heart,
Maybe put your hand on your heart,
And take a few slow,
Deep breaths.
Now ask yourself,
Are you passionate about your day-to-day,
Or are you just going through the motions?
Do you wake up so excited to start your day,
Looking forward to all you get to experience and create,
Or do you wake up with like a blah feeling or kind of dreading what's ahead in the day?
Do you feel lit up by your day-to-day routine,
Or is your routine dimming you down?
Do you feel deeply fulfilled in your lifestyle,
Or do you feel like there's something off,
Out of alignment,
Or that there's something missing?
Are you passionate about what you do for work each day?
Does it light you up?
Does it invigorate you?
Does it inspire you?
Does it energize you?
Does it fulfill you?
Or is it draining,
Depleting,
Unfulfilling,
Demotivating,
And uninspiring?
Let's take that deeper.
If money didn't exist and we lived on some sort of barter system,
Is this the work you would still immerse yourself in every day?
Is this the work that your passion would lead you to?
If not,
Where is your passion leading you?
Where does your passion want you to go?
What lifestyle,
What daily routines,
What daily work or daily creativity or projects would conjure up this potent,
Powerful,
Invigorating feeling of heart and soul-aligned passion?
And can you trust this beautiful,
Energizing feeling of passion to guide you forward,
To lead the way towards your true north,
Towards a passion and purposeful life full of zest?
You're not here in this precious lifetime to do what you're not passionate about.
You're not here on earth to dim your dreams down.
You're not here on earth to settle for less than what you truly desire in the deepest portal of your heart.
You're here to follow what lights you up,
Invigorates you,
Inspires you,
And deeply fulfills you.
You're here to use your dreams as your inner compass to guide you to your highest and brightest vision for your life.
You're here to follow the fire set ablaze within you.
Let that inner fire light the path forward.
Let your light lead the way.
There is so much purpose to your passion.
Let it lead you.
