Hi,
And welcome to a Jones in 4 breathwork and meditation.
Today we are going to focus on you,
The complete you,
And knowing that you are enough just the way you are.
Well,
Let's get started.
Find a place that's comfortable for you and sit or lie down,
Whatever works.
Place your arms and hands wherever they are comfortable and close your eyes.
Start to breathe in through your nose and exhale through your nose or mouth,
Your choice.
Breathing in nice and low and deep,
Filling your lungs with fresh life giving air and exhaling.
Just breathing in with a little smile,
Knowing that you are feeling your body with amazing oxygen and energy.
Bringing your mind's focus to that breath,
The oxygen entering your lungs and then being pushed throughout your body into your hands and fingers and feet and toes and everywhere.
Letting that sensation of life fill your body with warmth.
Know that your mind might start to wonder or other thoughts try to invade your focus.
That's alright,
It's part of it.
Now with those thoughts just acknowledge them and then dismiss them,
Coming back to the focus.
Right now we're focusing on our breath.
As you breathe in,
Try to breathe in the same amount of time as you exhale.
For example if you breathe in for five seconds,
Try to exhale for five seconds.
Or it could be six seconds or ten seconds,
Whatever works.
Try to make them equal length.
Shift your mind's focus to a quality about you that you like.
Something maybe you're proud of or you're grateful to have as one of your qualities.
Find one and focus on it.
Thinking of how that quality has enhanced your life,
The situations it has helped you and possibly helped others.
As you breathe,
Relive those moments,
Those feelings,
Those emotions that come with that quality.
Sometimes it can be difficult to find one quality that we like.
We are so caught up in the negativity in the world or things that we want to improve on or get better at or whatever,
That we lose sight of the things that are awesome about us,
That are amazing about us.
Take some time right now to find one or more of those qualities.
Focus on it.
Relive those emotions.
You'll awaken those feelings inside your body with every breath and let it fill you with joy.
Let it fill you with joy.
Negativity is everywhere in our lives.
Whether it's people you surround yourself with,
News you turn on and listen to,
Social media,
Wherever,
Negativity is everywhere and it has us look harshly at ourselves.
We see things that we don't like about ourselves,
Things that we wish could be better,
Things that we could improve and that's not healthy.
We shouldn't be hating ourselves.
We shouldn't be disliking ourselves.
Instead,
We need to learn to love ourselves and you start loving yourself by accepting you as you.
Have you made mistakes?
Of course,
We all have.
We are humans and humans make mistakes but it's what you do with those mistakes.
Do you learn from them?
Do you grow from them or do you let them be the anchors that hold you down?
Release the ropes to those anchors by forgiving yourself,
By saying,
It's okay,
You are human,
We make mistakes but I'm learning from them and I'm growing from them.
You're improving every day.
Is it easy?
No.
Is it worth it?
Definitely.
So while we make mistakes and while you will make mistakes in the future at times,
Right,
There will be chances for you to learn.
Whatever those mistakes,
The failures,
The roadblocks in your life,
There's opportunities to learn and grow and improve because you could take what you learn and implement it and use it in your future,
Always improving.
But even with that,
Know that you are complete.
You are whole just the way you are.
You don't need to change,
You don't need to be better at one thing or lose something else.
You are perfect the way you are and I like you the way you are.
Does that mean that we shouldn't get better?
We should not look for opportunities to learn and grow?
No.
Even the most successful person,
Most meditative person,
Whoever you can think of,
They even work to grow and improve and strive to be better.
But as we learn and grow and strive to be better,
We also know we are complete and we are whole and we are okay with ourselves just the way we are.
Because you are awesome the way you are.
You are amazing because you are you.
You are unique and incredible.
Don't ever forget that.
Again two more breaths,
Nice low deep breaths,
Breathing in that oxygen,
Feeling amazing,
Knowing you are complete and wonderful just the way you are.
Start to wiggle your toes and fingers,
Bringing your body back to life and slowly open your eyes.
