This is a five-day celebration of the Celtic festival of Lammas with meditations and exercises to connect with the energy of the season. Lammas marks the beginning of the harvest season and is celebrated on the 1st August in the Northern Hemisphere and the 1st February in the Southern Hemisphere. Lammas, from the words 'Loaf Mass,' is the celebration of the harvesting of the first grain, and is a time to celebrate abundance, receiving the rewards of our labour, craftsmanship and talent, and to give thanks to the Earth for all she provides us with. During the course, we'll explore some ways to celebrate Lammas in your own life, we'll look at some Ayurvedic considerations for your diet and lifestyle as we begin to transition between summer and autumn, we'll practice some yoga warrior poses, and we'll do some reflection and meditation connected to the themes of the season. Lammas is a time of abundance and celebration where we can appreciate and give thanks for all that we have, and this course is intended to bring you inspiration and joy at this time. Jessica is a long-term student of natural and holistic systems of medicine and spirituality and has long been fascinated with the origins of traditions and celebrations around the year. A certified Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist, she guides clients to an awareness of how the seasons can affect our bodies and our wellbeing, utilising simple practices and techniques to regain balance.
