Mindful Self-Care Through The Koshas

In this 3 session course, I'll introduce the System of the Koshas, offer insight on how mindful awareness of our own Koshas can help us find greater balance, and provide specific practices, meditations, and journal prompts to encourage to you explore and cultivate harmony within. Session 1 introduces the 5-layer system and offers a mindfulness assignment to practice. Session 2 offers specific tips on balancing the first 3 layers. Session 3 offers meditation and practices to cultivate access to our higher Kosha layers.


Meet your Teacher

For nearly 20 years, Joni Sturgill has shared insights on mental, emotional, and physical wellness with individuals, corporate populations, therapists, educators, and students of her training programs. As a licensed professional counselor and an advanced mindfulness and yoga educator, she’s developed and led professional training programs in a multitude of settings and has offerings on the Insight Timer free library. She is a passionate poet, writer, speaker, and mom of two adult children.

Lesson 1

Introduction To The Five Koshas

In this session 1 of Mindful Self-Care Through The Koshas, you'll learn about each kosha and understand how they are connected. You'll also gain insight into how you can start to develop awareness of these "layers" of your being, as a way of healing and cultivating wholeness.

Lesson 2

Tips To Balance The First Three Koshas

In this session 2 of the course, you'll learn tips on how to balance anamaya kosha, pranamaya kosha, and manomaya kosha using practical practices, mindfulness, and your breath. This will help you to further understand yourself, and live in a more balanced state, prepared to access your higher layers.

Lesson 3

Accessing Wisdom and Bliss

In this 3rd and final session of the course, you'll learn and practice meditation techniques to help you cultivate intuition, instinct, and deep feelings of joy. You'll learn to recognize these and differentiate them from simple enjoyment of circumstances and overthinking.
