Join us for a nine-day novena to St. Luke, the beloved physician and evangelist. Through daily prayers, scripture readings, and reflections, we seek St. Luke’s intercession for healing and present our personal petitions. This novena offers a time for spiritual renewal and thanksgiving for the graces received. Let us come together in faith, trusting in God’s love and mercy, and be inspired by St. Luke’s compassion and dedication. Novenas are traditionally prayed for nine days at the same time each day. You can also light a candle and have an image of the Saint you are working with at hand, plus a promise of an offering for their help. May this novena bring you comfort and strength. All are welcome to participate in this journey of healing and faith. Background music courtesy of Music of Wisdom

Let us take a moment to just centre and become quiet.

When we are ready,

We can enter the silence.

We begin as we begin everything.

In the name of the Father,

And of the Son,

And of the Holy Spirit,

Amen.

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

We gather to begin this novena to Saint Luke,

The beloved physician and evangelist.

As we pray these nine days,

We seek his intercession for our specific petitions and promise to offer our gratitude for the graces received.

Saint Luke,

Known for his compassionate heart and healing hands,

Invites us to bring our needs before God with trust and hope.

O glorious Saint Luke,

You were chosen by God to bring his message of love and healing to the world.

We ask for your intercession as we present our petitions to our loving Father.

Help us to open our hearts to God's will and to trust in his divine mercy.

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me because he has anointed me to preach the good news to the poor.

He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind,

To set at liberty those who are oppressed,

To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.

Saint Luke,

You were a physician who healed many with your medical skills and compassionate heart.

You knew the importance of both physical and spiritual healing.

Help us to bring our ailments to Jesus,

Trusting in his divine mercy.

May we too be instruments of his love and healing to those around us.

Please hear our specific petitions now.

Saint Luke,

Intercede for us before the throne of God.

We ask for healing,

Comfort,

And strength for those who are suffering in body,

Mind,

And spirit.

Grant us the grace to trust in God's providence and to find peace in his loving embrace.

Saint Luke,

We promise to offer our gratitude for the graces and blessings we receive through your intercession.

We will strive to show compassion and love to those in need,

As you did.

With thankful hearts,

We praise God for his infinite goodness.

Saint Luke,

Beloved physician and evangelist,

Pray for us.

May your example inspire us to live out our faith with compassion and dedication.

Help us to follow Christ more closely each day.

Almighty and ever-living God,

Who inspired Saint Luke the evangelist to reveal in his gospel the mystery of love for the poor,

Grant that those who are already glorified in your name may persevere as one heart and one soul,

And that all nations may merit to see your salvation.

Through our Lord Jesus Christ,

Your Son,

Who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,

God,

Forever and ever.

Amen.

Our Father who art in heaven,

Hallowed be thy name,

Thy kingdom come,

Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread,

And forgive us our trespasses,

As we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation,

But deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary,

Full of grace,

The Lord is with thee.

Blessed art thou among women,

And blessed is the fruit of thy womb,

Jesus.

Holy Mary,

Mother of God,

Pray for us sinners,

Now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Glory be to the Father,

And to the Son,

And to the Holy Spirit.

As it was in the beginning,

Is now,

And ever shall be,

World without end.

Amen.

May we go forth into this day,

In the name of the Father,

And of the Son,

And of the Holy Spirit.

Amen.
