Hello and welcome to this grounding meditation.
Start by getting yourself in a comfortable seated position or lying down,
Whatever feels most aligned for you.
Whenever you feel settled in a space that you can relax for the next 10 minutes,
Gently shut down the eyes.
While the eyes are closed,
Just notice the natural rhythm of your breath.
Watch it as it goes in and out of the body.
Noticing any pockets of tension,
Any feelings,
Any thoughts that may arise.
And instead of judgments,
Just notice,
Watch them as if they were in a bubble floating away from you.
Breathing in,
Breathing out,
Breathing in,
Breathing out.
Now let's take some time to imagine that you are laying or sitting down in a beautiful garden.
There are flowers everywhere in this garden.
Just start to notice the different colors around you.
Noticing what the weather is like.
Noticing the sun shining down on your face.
Feeling the joy of sitting here connecting with nature.
Now we're going to have beautiful roots growing out of your feet,
Out of your body,
Down into the ground below you.
These roots connect you to everything.
They connect you to the earth.
They connect you to the energy that surrounds you and everyone else.
Visualize these roots growing down even further.
They slowly grow towards the center of the earth.
Just visualizing them growing inch by inch.
No rush.
Nature is never rushed.
Slowly the roots grow down inch by inch towards the core of the earth.
Now the roots wrapping themselves around you.
Now the roots wrapping themselves around the core of the earth.
Pulling in the power.
Pulling in the connection to nature.
Pulling in everything and nourishing you and your body grounding you to the earth.
Pulling the roots back towards your body slowly.
Letting them come up,
Pulling all of the power,
All of this earthly connection through the roots nourishing you.
Once the roots come back into your body,
Honor the journey that they took.
Honor this connection to the earth.
Honor the fact that you are connected to everything and everyone.
Stand firm in that connection.
You are grounded in that connection.
Start to wiggle the fingers,
Wiggle the toes,
Coming back into the body.
You're grounded,
Rooted,
Beautiful body,
Making any movements that feel right for you.
And when it feels aligned,
Like open the eyes and welcome yourself back to the room.
