Begin by finding a position that feels supportive.

You don't need perfect posture.

You need honesty.

Let your body choose how it wants to be held right now.

If it feels safe,

Close your eyes or soften your gaze.

Take a slow breath in and let it fall out of your mouth like a sigh.

Exhale,

Releasing the effort of holding it all together.

You are allowed to arrive exactly as you are.

Bring your awareness to the body.

Notice where overwhelm lives today.

The tight chest.

The buzzing mind.

The heaviness that sits behind the eyes.

You don't need to push it away.

You don't need to fix it.

Overwhelm softens when it is witnessed.

Now bring your attention to your breath.

Not deep.

Not condensed.

Each inhale says,

I am here.

Each exhale says,

I don't have to do everything right now.

Let the breath be small if it needs to be.

Because small is still enough.

Repeat this mantra with your breath.

Now imagine gently turning the volume.

You don't have to listen to everything.

With the next breath out,

Imagine creating space around your body.

A few inches.

Then a few more.

This is your boundary.

Nothing needs to cross it right now.

Place one hand on your chest.

One on your belly.

Feel the rise and fall beneath your palms.

Let this be the only thing you pay attention to in this moment.

When the mind drifts,

Return to the hands.

Return to the breath.

This is enough focus for this moment.

Repeat these mantras slowly.

One at a time.

Let each land before moving on.

You do not need to do everything today.

One breath is enough right now.

If emotion rises,

Let it.

You are not doing this wrong.

Notice that you don't have to drop it.

You don't have to carry it forever either.

With the exhale,

Imagine yourself setting it beside you.

Just for now.

It will be there if you need to return to it.

Now feel the relief in your shoulders.

The softening in your jaw.

Even this small release counts.

Now bring your awareness to the present moment.

The temperature of the room.

The sound around you.

The weight of your body being supported.

This moment is survivable.

Repeat this mantra gently.

I am allowed to take this moment only.

I am allowed to take this moment only.

Let that truth settle into your nervous system.

Take a slow breath in.

If it feels right,

Imagine exhaling through the soles of your feet.

Sending excess energy down deep into them.

Begin to bring gentle movement back into your body.

Wiggle the fingers.

Roll the neck.

Overwhelm is not a failure.

Open your eyes now.

Move slowly as someone who knows they don't have to.
