Welcome to your meditation practice.
I invite you to take a moment to examine your surroundings.
Notice the temperature of the air.
The surface that supports you.
The sounds that encompass you.
Don't hold on to them.
Simply observe them.
I invite you to close your eyes or lower your gaze.
Bring your awareness to your breath.
With every inhale,
Acknowledge whatever it is that is not serving you today.
With every exhale,
Let it go.
When you notice your mind start to wander,
Come back to your breath and the sound of my voice.
Imagine yourself standing on a dock by a lake.
Let the water lap softly against the wooden beams of the dock.
The wind rustles trees somewhere behind you.
You watch as the sky begins to glow with the soft hues of dawn.
As you look towards the glow of the rising sun,
You feel the urge to reach out to it.
The sun welcomes this gesture.
Growing brighter and brighter.
Causing the lake to glitter.
You feel a warmth begin to grow from your heart center.
It is soft and unassuming.
Gentle.
And non-judgmental.
As you reach towards the sun.
The warmth you feel within grows and deepens until it fills your heart.
What once seemed distant and untouchable glows brightly within you.
Notice how you feel.
Ask yourself what it is you need right now.
Allow this warmth to spread from your heart.
All the way down to your fingertips.
Toes.
And to the crown of your head.
Feel as this light literally fills you from head to toe.
Take this moment to offer thanks for your body and mind.
Your spirit.
And for your life here on this earth.
Feel the divine love that comes from this gratitude.
Gently bring your attention back to your breath.
Wiggle your fingers and toes and turn your head softly side to side.
When you feel ready to return,
Open your eyes and examine your surroundings one more time.
Thank you for practicing with me.
Namaste.
