For some of us,
It can be hard to project our life into the future,
Or to know what we want,
What the best version of ourself and our life might be.
Often we can go through our lives knowing what we don't want,
But not being very clear on what we do want.
This practice,
The Best Possible Self Visualization,
Is designed to help you think into the future and start to connect with your unconscious desires or hopes for the future that may or may not be easy to access with your thinking mind alone.
So when you're ready,
Let's get into a comfortable position.
What can you hear?
And how will you know when you have arrived here,
In this moment?
Are you in this moment or are you in your mind still?
If you're in your mind,
That's okay,
Just simply take a step back and notice the mind.
Is the mind in a positive,
Negative or neutral state?
Is there clarity or is it foggy?
Whatever you're experiencing,
Try to let go of all expectations of how you'd like to feel and allow yourself to become more awake to what is actually unfolding instead.
More awake to what is unfolding outside of you as well.
Becoming so attuned and so awake that there becomes no barrier to what is happening internally and what is happening externally.
It is all just passing events flowing in the field of your awareness.
Breathing down into the belly now,
Tummy expanding,
Ribs expanding.
Feel the breath as it flows back out,
Chest contracting,
Tummy contracting.
Did you know that when you breathe in,
Your diaphragm moves down,
Creating space in the lungs?
So by breathing into the stomach,
You actually breathe more space into the lungs.
Amazing.
Even when you're not consciously expanding the lungs,
If you're breathing into the tummy,
You're still expanding the lungs.
This is one of the reasons why tummy breathing is one of the best ways to bring yourself into a state of balance and equilibrium.
So as you rest here,
I invite you to allow yourself to turn inward now,
Even further.
Even further.
Connecting into a visualization now.
I want you to imagine a black screen in front of you.
It is like an old movie screen counting down from three to one until the movie begins.
So right now,
Seeing the number three.
And now the number two.
And now the number one.
And then a bright white light takes over your vision.
And you are standing in this white light.
And as the light fades,
You find yourself witnessing your life five years into the future.
In this life,
Five years into the future,
Things even beyond your wildest imagination have happened to create your best possible self.
Things have happened that you couldn't have even dreamt of,
That have allowed you to live in an abundant and joyous and contented way.
And your life is exactly how you want it to be.
But in surprising ways,
In ways you couldn't have predicted.
So notice where you are and what you're doing.
Any imagery that comes to mind,
Even fleeting for a moment,
Pay attention to.
Any imagery that comes to mind,

Pay attention to.
What are you doing on this day?
And where are you?
With anyone or are you alone?
And your life has gone even better than you could have possibly imagined.
What are you doing on this day?
Who are you surrounded by?
And in this practice,
We might only see glimpses of ourselves.
And that is enough.
So allow yourself to entertain any glimpses of images that you might witness as you see yourself on this perfect day in the future.
Everything in your life has gone better than you could have possibly imagined.
How does it feel to be you?
How does it feel to be you?
Move through a day in your life from when you wake up to when you sleep.
Hold on to any sounds or smells or sights on this perfect day in the future.
And you might even take time to reflect on how you got here.
What occurred over these past five years that surprised you?
What challenges did you meet along the way?
And how did you overcome them to get to where you are now?
And what do you know now that you didn't know then?
And remember,
This is a practice in having absolutely no limitations,
No limits.
There's no room or space for the rationalizing mind.
There's no space for small thinking.
There's no space for small thinking or judgment.
Oh,
I can't do this or this isn't very likely.
This is a practice in open possibility.
And at the same time,
It's also not telling you,
You have to do this.
It's simply showing you the possibilities that lie ahead.
When your life is of your own creation.
No one else but you can create your future.
So what do you want from your life?
So deepening the breath,
Tummy,
Expanding.
And then expelling the air all the way out.
Each fresh breath bringing you closer to the possibilities of your life.
The possibilities that exist in this moment.
All you need is a blueprint.
So sitting tall now,
Tuning into the sounds around you.
Rolling the shoulders back and down.
Feeling energized,
Alive and awake.
Taking as long as you need to open up the eyes.
