Hello,
I am Dr.
Shaniqua Walker-Barnes.
Today I am going to lead us through an affirmation practice to support self-care,
Health,
And wellness.
This is a good practice to do in the morning to set the tone for the day ahead.
You may do this practice while sitting,
Standing,
Walking,
Or even before you get out of bed.
So let us begin.
Take a long,
Slow,
Deep breath in,
Noticing the breath as it enters your nostrils,
Moves into your chest,
And down into your belly.
Now exhale slowly.
Again,
Another slow,
Deep breath in.
Now exhale and release.
As you listen to each of the following affirmations,
Continue to breathe gently,
Calmly,
At your own pace.
And after I say each affirmation,
Repeat it to yourself either silently or aloud.
I am beautifully and wonderfully made in the image of God.
I am worthy of self-care.
I am a good steward of my body,
Mind,
And spirit.
I am enough.
I treat myself with care and compassion.
I eat,
Move,
And rest in ways that are right for my body.
I honor my emotions and learn from them.
I live and work in ways that support my well-being.
I am surrounded by love and support.
I am God's perfect gift.
I am beautifully and wonderfully made in the image of God.

Allowing these affirmations to settle into your spirit.
