Welcome to this Sleep Talkdown recording,
Fellow follower of Christ,
Where you'll be guided gently into a deep and peaceful sleep with a comforting Christian faith story.
By following along whilst lying down in bed,
Eyes closed,
Curtains drawn and lights out,
You're guaranteed a long and nourishing rest,
Full of God's grace and illuminating dreams that bring you closer to Him.
Get ready now,
And my voice will return soon.
And so,
Christ said,
Let not your heart be troubled.
You believe in God,
Believe also in me.
In my Father's house are many mansions.
If it were not so,
I would have told you.
I go to prepare a place for you,
And if I go and prepare a place for you,
I will come again.
And receive you to myself.
That where I am,
There you may be also.
And where I go you know,
And the way you know.
Thomas said to him,
But Lord,
We don't know where you're going,
So how can we know the way?
Jesus replied,
I am the way,
The truth,
And the life.
No one comes to the Father,
Except through me.
Let's dwell on those words for a moment now,
In silence.
Let those words bring you comfort and peace.
No need to try and interpret them in an overly intellectualized way.
Instead,
Let the words speak to your soul directly.
Allow yourself to understand them on a deeper,
Spiritual level,
And allow yourself to fall into them,
Feeling their warm embrace.
Let not your heart be troubled,
Christ said,
And so let it not be.
There is a place for you,
He went on,
And so know that,
Through him,
That place can be found.
And what's that place like,
You wonder?
Well,
Let's dwell on that thought together now.
Let's imagine what one of the Father's mansions might look like.
In your mind's eye,
Picture it,
Stir up a visual representation of it.
Let your mind roam free in the light of the Lord,
And soon my voice will return.
What did you say?
What did you imagine?
Something grand and majestic and heavenly,
No doubt.
Everyone's imagination will create something slightly different here,
But whatever it was you saw,
Let the image soothe you,
And inspire you,
And lull you into sleep.
The Father's mansion is your eternal home,
Not simply a place to return to after death,
But an eternal home with God,
Offering rest and joy.
The mansion is filled with light,
Love,
And grace.
It's a haven free from sin and death,
Providing peace and security,
Without fear or worry.
Both symbolic and literal,
Not exclusively one or the other.
A spiritual home,
But also a structure of sorts,
Like a home on earth,
But adapted for spiritual purposes,
With beautiful gardens and areas designed for worship and rest.
Such a beautiful place this is,
And we're free to explore the Father's mansion now.
And whilst what we see isn't necessarily the real thing,
It's a taste,
And it's a comfort,
One that God is happy for us to use to lull us deeper into sleep,
Drawing closer to Jesus,
Giving praise to the Father,
And letting the Holy Spirit fill us.
Continue exploring these concepts now,
And shortly my voice will return.
Oh,
What a wonderful place our Father has created for us in heaven.
The mansion stands as a beacon of peace for us,
A spiritual home where every believer will find eternal rest.
A place filled with light,
Love,
And grace,
Designed to comfort those who have left the battlefield of this earthly life behind.
In this place,
Believers will not merely escape the burdens of sin,
But will find a haven free from fear and worry,
Surrounded by those they love,
And the boundless joy of being with God in all his glory.
This mansion is more than just a destination after death,
It's an eternal home where believers can dwell with confidence,
Knowing that they're safe in the presence of the Father,
Ready to fulfill their purpose and continue living out their faith wholeheartedly.
Knowing all of this brings you such comfort,
Comfort that flows directly from the Father to you,
And comfort that naturally lulls you into a restful,
Peaceful sleep.
Shortly,
My voice will return.
You are now supremely relaxed,
Dear believer,
And you are ready for sleep.
Whilst you dream tonight,
Do not give in to temptation,
Because,
Make no mistake about it,
In the world of dreams,
Temptations abound.
And so,
Instead of falling into sin,
Abound in the Father.
Let him guide you through sleep.
Let him guide you through the night,
Out of the darkness,
And end.
