Lorraine E Murray is a dedicated meditation teacher with a deep passion for sharing the transformative power of mindfulness and meditation with children and teens. With over 35 years of personal practice, 3 published books on teaching meditation to young people and over 20 years of teaching experience, Lorraine has guided people from all walks of life in helping to share meditation with young people with calm, creativity and confidence. Lorraine was initially trained in meditation through the College of Parapsychology in Scotland, and her Usui and Karuna Reiki teacher training provided a secular approach to sharing mindful skills. Lorraine combines a grounded, evidence-based approach with genuine warmth and clarity. Her teaching style is accessible, practical, and grounded in real-life application, making meditation approachable for beginners who want to teach their children. In her role as a foster carer, she has taught meditation to many children struggling with trauma. She also advocates for children with special educational needs, such as ADHD or Autism learning to reduce anxiety using mindful skills. Through the Teach Children Meditation 101 course, Lorraine offers participants a clear foundation to guide and help adults create and share meditation practices with confidence to the young people they care deeply about.
