It's December 26th.

The day after Christmas.

It's snowing.

I'm in New York City.

And nine years ago,

Also in December,

On a very snowy day,

My mother died.

There are eight of us.

Eight children.

And our father.

It was an incredible experience to have our mother die in her home with all of us there.

The journey since that time has been one of desire to create a space for people who are in the process of dying,

The space to think,

To allow that energy that is created between heaven and earth to come together.

I have learned that death is love.

I didn't know that.

The experience of watching your mother die happens only once in a lifetime.

But to be a part of that gives you life.

I'm going to be a part of that.

I'm going to be a part of that.

I'm going to be a part of that.

I'm going to be a part of that.

Short but Profound meditation on death. Hearing that 'death is love', and having watched my own mother die, I found this story both moving and enlightening. Thank you!

I listened to this on Christmas eve just before midnight. It made me cry, but also helped me resolve even further to be fully present this holiday, and all the days going forward. Thank you, and Merry Christmas to you.

I was also present when my mother exhaled her last breath in this physical life. It is one of my strongest memories.
