"Singing to the Inner Heart" brings our heart frequency into harmony. The neuroscience of singing shows that when we sing, our neurotransmitters connect in new and different ways. It fires up the right temporal lobe of our brain, releasing endorphins that make us smarter, healthier, happier and more connected. When we sing with other people, this effect is amplified. We create an amplified field together where we heal.

Another outstanding, atmospheric piece from one of my new favorite composers on IT. The final, roughly minute-long section is especially powerful (at least for me)—sonically spare after all the whirling voices that keep building just before it. By chance I had just listened to another instrumental piece also tagged as “shamanic,” by a composer who shall remain nameless, and its shortcomings made Coen T’s strengths even clearer to me. Where the other musician’s work felt formless—just a bunch of cool sounds strung together with no evident structure—CT at his best is able to give the listener a thread to follow throughout all the weirdness, and as a result his work really takes me on a journey (it’s genuinely “trip-py” in that sense). And it’s a journey I want to take as often as possible. Headphones or a really powerful, immersive sound system recommended in order to experience the sensation of depth here.

I’m going to start by saying, I really did enjoy this. It seemed quite ritualistic to me. In the beginning (I listen with a headset) and the sounds were going from left to right, seemed very dizzying. But as it mellowed out, I saw a large cauldron on top of a fire being stirred and the stirring changed direction every so often. I loved the steady state sound, which the vibrations did work themselves down to my chest and upper arms. In my mind I saw the pot being stirred and people slowly dancing around it, as I watched from a small distance. It was night and the only light was from the fire and the moon. I was very calm watching. Very relaxed through this entire meditation. Thank you for sharing this unique trip for me.
