In this four-day course, students will explore Poetic Journaling, the practice of taking your daily journaling practice and using it to not only to explore your emotions and begin to heal difficult past experiences but also find deep meaning in your life. Each lesson will focus on something different. Together we’ll explore the idea of what it means to be vulnerable, not just on the page but in life. We’ll play with the idea of meaning and how sometimes you can extract deep meaning from objects that might seem unimportant and from the most simple and seemingly mundane experiences. You’ll also have the opportunity to learn how to use poetry to begin to move on, release and maybe even heal from those more painful memories and experiences in your life. I'll share poetry, writing prompts, and something new for you to learn in each lesson.
