Just Thinking: Alignment

I was taught to pray and ask for what I wanted. "Ask and you shall receive." "You have not because you ask not." Having had a rather charmed childhood with my Dad making my wishes come true, I never thought of anything beyond the "asking" until I grew up and daddy was gone. Why isn't God responding as before? Well, God isn't daddy and in the divine realm, there's a different set of rules, a bit more that comes with the asking.
