Just Being Still

There's great spiritual value in stillness, though at times, it's quite difficult to accomplish. We find comfort and familiarity in thinking even when we would rather not. In this short time, I invite you to turn away from mental busyness, and the clamoring voices of demands, for I've created space for comfortable stillness. Between each thought there are five seconds to allow it to speak to you or you to speak to it. At the end there's about 50 seconds for you to adjust your thoughts to where you feel they need to be.

Be still and know that I am God.

I lay aside all fear and doubt.

I have discovered a secret place within,

Where the thought goes into a mountain high above the den of the world.

I have found in this mountain a place of peace and rest,

A place of joy and comfort to the heart.

I have found that the secret place of God is within my own soul.

I am in the loving presence.

I am quiet,

Still and peaceful,

For I put my trust in the divine.

I lay aside all fear and doubt.

A great stillness steals over me and a great calm quiets my whole being as I realize the presence of the all good.

My heart knows and is sure of the divine power and presence.

Divine love is always with me.

I have but to speak and it answers.

In the divine presence,

I am still.

I put my whole confidence in eternal love alone.

Cast aside all doubt,

Soul of mine,

And be unafraid,

For your power is from on high.

That which is seated in the heavens is your companion.

You need not fear.

Come forth,

Divine spirit,

From within to express yourself through me and let not my doubts hinder your approach.

My faith goes to meet you and my confidence embraces you.

My waiting thoughts bid you welcome to my house of love and joy accompanies us through the ages yet to come.

I lay aside all fear and doubt.

I have an inner friend who walks and talks with me daily.

It is not far off,

But is within me a constant companion.

I can never become lonely,

For divine love is always with me.

I have but to speak and it answers.

The spirit within me is my friend.

Eternal spirit,

How dear to me is your presence.

I will listen for your voice.
