Buddhist Sacred Art Music is a project of composer John Allen Graves, in collaboration with soprano Tyler Azelton and alto Laura Jackman. Buddhist mantras and other sacred texts set to music using techniques and forms from the European Sacred Art tradition (Palestrina, Lassus, Victoria, Bach, Mozart, Brahms, Stravinsky…), incorporating North Indian, Jazz, Latin, and minimalist musical elements.
