Sharing This Moment With You

It's good to be here, with you. We're sharing right now. Even though we're in different places. In this recording, I share some of the amazing things that are happening now. There's a bunch of interesting and fun stuff going on!

Hi, It's Brooks and thank you for being wherever you are and listening to this because otherwise it'd be pretty embarrassing if I was talking. Actually I don't mind talking to myself. I do it a lot. I'll just have conversations with with myself when I'm by myself and it actually feels like I'm talking with someone so maybe you do that too. I can't imagine other people not doing it because it's so much fun. Like I can say anything to myself and I'm not gonna be embarrassed, You know? Like reveal something and go like what? What? Why would you do that? Like I would never say that to myself. It's just really nice to um and I know myself so well that it's just really nice to have that conversation with me and but I do like that you're listening. I really do and it's so strange that I do because I can't see your face and you can't respond back to me yet I still really like talking and knowing that you're gonna be listening. I treat it as you're listening right now so anyway I really like not knowing what I'm gonna talk about because there's always a lot to talk about. There's always a lot of stuff happening in the moment. Like I just finished breakfast and had some oatmeal with almond butter and some pumpkin seeds and some honey and looking at the bowl and there's a few pieces of oatmeal left and and there's something about like when I'm looking at them they look so like alive to me. There's something really wonderful about their presence or something I guess that's the word for it. And you know I went to art school and like a ways back and ever since I went there like I really like just noticing stuff because the best thing about art school that I found was that I'd have to look at something for a while because I was painting it or drawing it so it taught me to just look at things and there's something about them. There's something about stuff. I think things really appreciate being noticed. Like these pieces of oatmeal that are still in the bowl the tiny pieces. In my mind you know I have a very inventive mind. Very imaginative. I imagine the pieces of oatmeal saying oh thanks for noticing us. You know you didn't eat us we get it. You can't eat every tiny last scrap of something but we really appreciate you noticing us. Thank you very much you really made our day. Like that's what I imagine they're thinking and whether they're whether they are or not it's just really nice to have that thought because I really like connection. There's something about I mean it's my favorite feeling is to feel connected and I think that's why I'm talking to you now because I do get the feeling of being connected with you even though I'm recording this now and you'll be listening to it later but again in my imagination I feel like you're listening to it right now as I'm speaking so yeah anyway so I'm in my kitchen and there's sunlight coming in and I feel like the Sun is the best giver in the world. It's just like we must really like giving right because you gotta figure if that's your job being the Sun you really like to give right because you put out so many rays that's what you do in all days well all the time right there's no like nighttime for the Sun constantly putting out rays just sending them out not expecting a thank you of any kind like thanks for the rays like again in my imagination I imagine the Sun right now hearing that going oh wow you're very welcome I've never gotten a thank you before wow that's really great anyway I'm really um something about the Sun's rays they feel alive to me too there's something like a force like a life force in this in this rays of light I even feel that way about the light coming from the light bulbs there's something about that the presence of that anyway I don't want to get too much into those words because it starts to sound too spiritual I'm really I'm not into like new age stuff or you know into most spiritual whatever's you know but I really I guess is what I would like saying is I really like being alive you know there's something about the current the feeling of being alive that I really appreciate and it's so fulfilling okay I could come up with a list of a hundred things that I want I guess maybe or maybe ten at least ten and but the thing is like I'm feeling of wanting the feeling of feeling alive because that's from there so I'm really I like it I'm grateful for that and maybe on some level yeah that'll that a current of being alive appreciates me appreciating it it's one big party of likes of liking and it's so much better than the likes on on the internet on Facebook or Twitter or whatever this kind of like is so much better I really enjoyed it you know I figure life must really like me too because I'm alive you know I feel like I'm being given alive the gift of life and maybe it helps that I got I had a transplant a lung transplant almost nine years ago like the the being alive is just I forgot I forgot what I was talking about this is what happens when I get overwhelmed by the feeling of how great it is to be alive or to feel that you know and I think maybe I connect with you because on some level even I mean you're alive too so it's something we share in common we're we're related in that way like brethren or something like whatever the word is family and we're in the family of being alive of aliveness so no matter our differences that's something we share so it's really nice to meet another person who's filled with life regardless of your circumstances excuse me it's the oatmeal regardless of the circumstances you're alive just like me so congratulations I think I'm winding down of what to talk about and so thank you I really appreciate you listening it's really nice to be here with you and I wish you the best take care bye
