Intentional Recovery: One Morning at a Time is a 30-day guided reflection and meditation course for people in recovery to build a consistent, meaningful daily practice. With just 5 minutes a day, this course helps you cultivate the habit of intentional living—something that is essential for those in recovery. When we begin the day with awareness and purpose, we move through life grounded, steady, and aligned with our values; our recovery is uplifted and fortified; and we live with purpose, meaning, and peace. Each of the 30 lessons offers a focused theme—such as stillness, compassion, boundaries, or gratitude—paired with a short reflection to help you center yourself before the day begins. Within each lesson we breathe and meditate together, and we internalize an inspiring spiritual quote to be utilized as a touchstone throughout the day. Over time, this daily rhythm builds a foundation of mindfulness and self-awareness that supports lasting recovery. The practice of being intentional in recovery shifts us out of autopilot. Instead of reacting impulsively or feeling unprepared and overwhelmed, we respond to situations with calm and clarity. We become proactive rather than reactive, steady rather than scattered, and the mind, body, and spirit become aligned with spiritual principles. As you move through this course, you will notice increased emotional regulation, greater self-compassion, improved clarity in decision-making, and a deeper sense of connection—to yourself and others. Meet your Teacher

Brian Hyman, RYT, is a dedicated yoga and meditation teacher, and longtime activist in the field of addiction recovery, blending mindfulness, movement, and spiritual practice to support lasting transformation. He has been working at a prominent treatment center in Southern California since 2012, where he has helped thousands of individuals reconnect with themselves and build meaningful, sustainable lives in recovery. Brian is the Nautilus Award-winning author of “Recovery with Yoga: Supportive Practices for Transcending Addiction,” a book that integrates physical practice, breathwork, yogic philosophy, spiritual principles, and mindfulness teachings as powerful tools for healing. His work extends to the Insight Timer platform, where he shares guided practices that have supported more than one million people on their journey toward clarity and inner peace. Brian has been interviewed about his work with recovery by The Healing Place, Kaleidoscope of Possibilities, Bold Journey, Healing the Divide, and Canvas Rebel. His writing has appeared in Newsweek, Yoga Magazine, Well + Good, Yoga Journal, Mantra Wellness, and Whole Life Times. His solo exhibition of paintings “The Art of Recovery” premiered at Gardens of the World Gallery near Los Angeles in 2025. Brian is a member of Yoga Alliance, International Association of Yoga Therapists, and SAG-AFTRA. He is a Legacy Ambassador for lululemon, and former yoga ambassador for Manduka, Yoga Earth, and Yoga Aid.
