Welcome.
If you're feeling anxious or overwhelmed,
This is your moment to pause.
Let everything slow down.
If your pet is nearby,
Invite them close.
If they're not,
That's okay.
Eventually they will still feel your shift.
Place one hand gently on your heart,
And if your pet is with you,
Rest your other hand softly on them.
Now,
Take a slow breath in through your nose,
And exhale longer than you inhaled.
Again,
Inhale slowly,
And long,
Steady exhale.
Let your shoulders drop as you breathe out.
One more time,
Inhale gently,
And exhale completely.
Notice your body.
Notice your jaw.
Is it tight?
Let it soften.
Notice your shoulders,
Let them fall away from your ears.
Notice your breath,
Allow it to deepen naturally.
Now,
Gently bring your awareness to your pet.
Notice their breathing.
Notice their body.
Are they settling?
Are they leaning towards you?
Your calm becomes their calm.
Your breath becomes their signal of safety.
There's nothing to fix right now,
Nothing to solve,
Just this shared moment.
Imagine.
If your mind feels busy,
Quietly say to yourself,
I am safe right now.
This feeling will pass.
We are okay.
Imagine your home filling with soft,
Steady light,
Calm moving through the room,
Through your body,
Through your pet.
Let the music carry what you no longer need to hold.
Take one final slow breath in,
And a long,
Gentle exhale.
Gently wiggle your fingers and notice the space around you.
This calm that you feel right now is something that you can return to any time.
Your pet feels it,
And so do you.
I'm Sue London,
Wishing you much love and many blessings.
