Welcome to the Somatic Affirmation practice for reconnecting with your worthiness.
Find a comfortable position and let your body settle.
Feel your feet underneath you on the ground.
And close your eyes if that feels comfortable to you.
And then take a deep breath in through the nose.
Feel your belly rising,
Your chest rising.
And then release slowly through the mouth.
You are here.
You are safe.
This practice is for anyone who has tied their worth to what they do,
What they achieve,
Or how much they give to others.
For anyone who has felt like they need to earn their place in this world.
Earn it by doing more,
By giving more.
Never really feeling like they are enough.
And today we are going to practice a different truth.
The truth that you are worthy simply because you are.
You exist.
You are here.
And not because of what you do.
Just because of who you are.
And you don't have to believe this completely yet.
Just be willing to let the words land.
So let's begin.
I am enough.
Come aware of your body and notice where those words land.
Do you soften?
Does your chest tighten?
Do you feel contractions,
Maybe in your belly?
Does your throat close?
Is something in you already?
Just notice.
No judgment.
Just become present with whatever it is and let it be there.
I am enough.
Not when you lose the weight,
When you get the job,
When you finally have it all together.
Right now as you are.
I am enough.
Breathe that in.
It may feel unfamiliar.
It may even feel like a lie.
But let your nervous system hear it.
And know that you are safe.
I am enough exactly as I am.
With your mistakes,
The mistakes you've made,
The mistakes you might be doing in the future.
With your flaws,
With all the things you should have figured out by now.
Know that you are enough.
I am enough exactly as I am.
Now place one hand on your heart if that feels right.
My worth is not something I need to earn.
You are bone worthy.
Before you achieved anything,
Before you helped anyone,
Before you proved yourself,
You are already enough.
My worth is not something I need to earn.
I don't have to prove my value.
Let that sink in.
You don't have to be productive,
Perfect,
Or make anyone else comfortable but yourself.
Your value just is.
I am worthy of love and belonging.
Not because of what I give,
But because of who I am.
Feel your hand on your heart.
Feel your heartbeat.
Feel your breath.
Feel your skin.
This heart has been beating for you your whole life,
Never asking you to earn it.
I am worthy of love and belonging.
Not because of what I give,
But because of who I am.
I release the conditions I've placed on my worth.
I release the conditions I've placed on my worth.
Take a deep breath.
What would it feel like to stop striving?
Maybe it's scary.
And maybe it's something that would just let you exhale and soften.
I am allowed to rest and still be worthy.
Your worth doesn't disappear when you stop producing.
You are not a machine.
You are a human being,
Not a human doing.
I am allowed to rest and still be worthy.
I take up space because I deserve to be here.
Not apologetically,
Not making yourself small.
You belong here as much as anyone else.
I take up space because I deserve to be here.
My needs matter.
Your hunger,
Your rest,
Your desires,
Your boundaries,
They all matter.
You are allowed to have needs.
My needs matter.
I am worthy of my own care and attention.
Not just what's left over after everyone else.
You deserve the same kindness you give to others.
Now take a deep breath in.
And let it go with a sigh.
Breathe in.
Notice how you feel.
Notice your body.
Bring both hands on your heart.
And feel yourself held by your own presence,
By your own attention.
This is the truth your body is learning.
You are enough.
You have always been enough.
You don't have to earn your place here.
Now let that settle into your cells,
Into your bones,
Into the places that forgot.
You are worthy,
Simply because you exist.
Now take one more deep breath in through the nose.
And sigh it out through the mouth.
And when you're ready,
Gently open your eyes.
