In this meditation, you will invite access to the field of spaciousness. What would it feel like to have more spaciousness in your body? In your breath? With your time? With your responsibilities? We begin with the intention to invite in spaciousness, imagine what it will feel like, and then open into our day with less weight on our shoulders. This is a five-minute meditation.

Welcome.

Today we ask for access to our spaciousness.

Please have a seat.

Sit comfortably,

Either on the floor on a cushion or in a chair,

Your feet on the ground,

And your back supported will bring the index and thumb finger to lightly touch on each hand,

And then let your hands be palms up in your lap.

Invite your breath to deepen and your body to soften.

And we'll think about what it means to be spacious.

What does it mean to feel spacious in our body to release any tight places to let more breath,

Fill those places that might feel tight or strained invite the breath more fully into the body and release any physical discomfort.

What would it feel like to be more spacious with the tasks we need to complete to not grip so tightly to those to do lists and things to achieve and accomplish.

What if we gave ourselves more space to just be.

What would it feel like to be more spacious with our time to not feel rushed to not feel like there was not enough time.

What if there was all the time,

All the time we needed to be present to laugh more to notice the little things.

How would it feel to live more spaciously.

Invite this intention into your spacious mind into your spacious body into your spacious breath,

And then feel well grounded well rooted into this spacious body and know and trust that all you need is to invite the intention.

And it will begin to manifest around you.

Take a couple more breaths.

Notice the touch of index finger to thumb on each hand and the space in each palm and feel the space in each palm grow and grow as though you were holding more and more vast space in the hands and it was so light and so freeing.

Feel that lightness settle into the body into the heart,

And I'll count out to five and when I come to the number five you can lift your gaze or open your eyes,

Noticing something around you.

One,

Two,

Three,

Four,

And five,

Gently lift the gaze notice something in the space around you and know and trust that you will be more spacious,

As you go about your day.

Thank you for practicing with me.

Namaste.
