Hello there,
This is Amanda from Amanda Amanda and today I'm here to chant the Shanti Mantra with you 12 times.
Shanti is the word for peace in Hindu and this Mantra can be used to protect you,
It can help you be nourished by the wisdom that you are receiving.
It is wonderful for infusing your body and your mind and your spirit and other people with peace.
You can chant this Mantra for any situation that you like.
Traditionally this was often used with teachers and students but I just love to sing it any old time and it just feels nourishing in my body and in my heart.
So take a moment to find some comfort,
You could be seated in a chair or on your yoga mat,
You could be leaning up against a wall if that feels good for you.
You can use a mala if you like and you can stay seated for however long after the practice that you would like to stay seated and just bathe in the glow of what we're going to create together.
So take a moment here to breathe in deeply,
Exhale smoothly out of your mouth or out of your nostrils,
Whatever feels best for you.
The words that you will be singing,
That we'll be singing together are in the notes but they're also on the screen if you're watching this on YouTube.
So maybe take a moment to familiarise yourself by pressing the pause button and we'll get started.
I'm going to start this practice with one ole and end this practice with one ole and in the middle we will chant the shanti mantra 12 times.
You might like to join your thumb pad to your index finger pad in chin mudra.
Let your buttocks settle down into support,
Elongate your spine,
Relax your shoulders away from your ears and let's begin breathing in.
