
Nature Sounds Centring Meditation

This is an exercise that you can do with me to help you ground yourself and feel more centred in your body. I talk you through a 13 minute exercise using mindfulness, awareness, energy healing and breathing techniques so that you become the master of your emotions, feel more grounded and bring your presence more into the moment. The more often you do this with me, the easier it becomes, and then you will be able to do this exercise quickly, anytime you feel you need it. There is bird song and ambient background noise in this track as it was recorded outside.

Hi,
This is Abbie Wynn here and I've come out to nature to record a gentle meditation for you to help you get into your body now.
And the reason why I'm out in nature is because I'd like you to think that you can do this work anywhere,
Anytime.
So there's chirping birds,
Just people moving around,
There's cars,
There's wind,
And it's about you disconnecting from all those things around you,
Using your breath and your breathing and your heart as the focus of your work.
And I do think of this as work because sometimes it can take a lot of effort to disconnect your mind from all the things that you're thinking about,
Bring it back into yourself.
So see if you can use my voice as an anchor or a guide for you to do that.
And allowing the sounds of nature to remind you that you belong to planet earth,
That you're part of the system that we're in,
And that you're safe.
And when you're in this moment,
All there is in this moment is love.
So sitting comfortably wherever you are,
Take a deep breath in and out,
And allow your body to soften just a little bit more.
Take another breath in and out and soften.
And as you begin to soften into yourself,
Maybe for the first time you notice how tight your body is.
And bring your awareness like a spotlight inwards to the top of your head,
Shining that gentle spotlight on the top of your head and pulling in all of your energy into the top of your head now.
And breathe and soften even more.
And breathing and relaxing and moving the gentle spotlight of your awareness down into your head,
The back of your skull and your face.
Breathing in and out and softening your lips,
Your jaw,
Becoming aware of your tongue and your teeth.
And it's as if this gentle spotlight of your awareness has a gentle glow and your face and your head is glowing.
As the energy frees itself up and any blocks in your mind,
Feel safe to release.
And again breathing in and breathing out and shining this spotlight downwards now onto your throat and just being with your throat as it is,
Relaxing the throat.
Maybe take another breath in and out and soften,
Soften around the shoulders,
The shoulder blades,
Your collarbones and seeing that glow shifting down to your throat and your upper chest.
So now your whole head and your neck and your throat and your upper chest have a beautiful soft glow and allowing the movement and motion and fluidity of the energy in this beautiful glowing light to work into the areas that you need healing right now.
So we'll drop down even more,
Take a breath in and out and as you release open the chest and allow gently this beautiful glowing light to glow of the spotlight of your awareness into your upper chest,
Your mid back and your heart centre.
And let the light do the work now,
Let the energies do the work.
And if you're feeling shut down and small by life you might want to put your hand on your heart and go,
It's okay I'm here,
I'm here now,
I'm here now and I'm okay,
In this moment I am okay,
In this moment I'm okay.
And breathing in and breathing out just noticing right now how you're feeling,
You've only been doing this for about six minutes,
You could be feeling a lot more calm,
A lot softer in yourself than you were before you started.
Breathe in,
Open and release and drop down now into the top of your stomach where your ribs end and your stomach begins,
Above your belly button softening and imagining that glow,
That glow of the focus of your awareness is moved down now into the top of your stomach where the flow of energy is still shifting and moving from your head and your neck and your throat and your shoulders,
Your upper chest and your heart working and doing beautiful beautiful things for you.
You're coming into your stomach and your awareness and you're able to relax and release tension and you drop down even more into your belly,
Around your belly button and right into,
Right into that area of your intestines,
Your lower belly and your lower back and breathe into your lower back right now.
Breathing in and breathing out and imagining that by breathing into your lower back you are bringing the focus of your awareness straight in to your lower back.
What would you like to say to your lower back right now?
And what does it want to say to you?
Breathing in and out soft and soft and release and allow the rush of beautiful healing light to come in.
It's almost like it's massaging your lower back and allowing you to release the tension that you're carrying there.
Whatever fear you're holding onto,
You're safe and you're here and it's okay.
We'll stay here for another bit so breathing in and out again into your lower back and as you breathe out and visualising your lower back opening like a flower,
Opening and releasing,
Releasing any tension that you might have.
Allowing the sounds around you to just be sounds around you,
Nothing to be worried about.
Bringing your awareness now into your hips,
Into the left hip and the right hip and into both hips equally.
And breathing into your hips and feeling balanced and stabilised.
We're going to move down the legs with this beautiful light of the focus of your awareness,
Moving down your legs,
Lighting up the bones and the muscles of your legs into your knees.
Breathing in and out and coming down the front of your legs into your ankles and feet.
And we'll just do a few more breaths here,
Breathing in and out and in and out.
This is centring,
Now you're centred because your body is the centre with the sky above and the earth below.
Oh,
People say they feel centred in their heart but they're not really,
They're still in their heads and when you can bring the focus of your awareness all the way down your body into your legs and into your feet,
You feel the flow of life running through you and all of this is you healing yourself,
Nurturing yourself.
This is how you love yourself more.
So just take another minute here,
Just another minute.
And when you're ready you can bring your awareness into the space that you're in,
Disconnecting from my voice and knowing that there's more work for you here,
That there's more joy for you to experience in your life,
That there's happiness and love all around you,
You just need to open to it.
