Welcome to this meditation on finding acceptance within.
Before we start,
Just find yourself in a nice comfortable seat.
It's okay if you lay down.
It's okay if you sit on a chair.
Or if you prefer to sit on the floor with your legs crossed.
Gently closing your eyes,
Start to let your breath come in through your nose with your mouth closed.
Finding calmness within your breath and taking time to let everything settle in to your practice.
Bringing the focus of your mind now to the breath as it comes in through your nose,
Inhaling into your belly and letting your belly expand.
As you exhale gently through your nose,
Let your belly draw in towards your spine.
Inhale into belly.
And exhale.
Inhale into your belly.
And exhale.
Now begin to bring a little bit of control into your breath and into your meditation and think of it as conscious connection rather than control.
So inhaling for four.
3.
2.
1.
Exhale for 4,
3,
2,
1.
1.
Inhale for 4,
3,
2,
1.
Exhale for 4,
3,
2,
1.
Inhale for 4,
3,
2,
1.
Hold your breath.
And exhale for four,
Three,
Two,
One.
2 Ho!
Inhale for 4,
3,
2,
1,
Hold.
Exhale for 4,
3,
2,
1.
Hold.
Now notice how your breath has settled into a gentle,
Calming flow.
An equal rhythm of an inhale.
And an equal rhythm of an exhale.
Just allow the breath to continue like this.
As you start to tap in a little bit deeper into your mind.
Perhaps into your thoughts.
Any thoughts that you're having?
Just observe them.
Try not to engage.
Almost as if you are the observer on the outside.
Allowing yourself just to watch.
But not participate.
Imagining that you are somebody watching what you're thinking.
Imagine you are the other person observing.
Perhaps you are noticing.
Any calmness.
Perhaps you observe the ability of peace.
Perhaps you begin to feel.
A culture of surrender in the environment.
And as you're beginning to notice surrender of the person you are observing,
You integrate into the person.
As you become one.
Taking surrender with you.
Surrender is the acceptance of any environment or situation you may be in at the time.
Surrender is not to let go.
Surrender is to allow yourself some time and space.
To process.
Once you feel you've been through the process.
You end with acceptance.
As you sit now completely within your body.
Completely connected.
Start to understand the ability of acceptance you may have.
Over the situation.
And the circumstances that you may be in.
Allowing yourself to remember that at times surrender gives you the time you need.
The time to process.
The time to understand acceptance.
When you accept.
You don't necessarily agree.
But you allow.
This gives you the integration of the circumstance or situation.
So you can be the observer on the outside.
And allow yourself.
To have greater information.
Starting to take the sensation of acceptance all the way through your body.
And as you do that.
.
.
Seeing if there are elements of tension.
Stress,
Tightness.
As you inhale and you expand through your body.
Start to notice these areas.
And start to see if you can bring an element of surrender.
To any tightness within your body.
So you are no longer holding on.
Conflict does not serve us.
Conflict blocks us from resolution.
Starting by seeing this in our bodies.
And allowing ourselves gentleness and kindness.
Will be the first steps to peace.
Continue here for a few breaths,
Scanning through your body.
Releasing areas of tightness.
And allowing your thoughts to be gentle.
And any time your mind wanders.
Bring it back in.
To the focus and the direction of your breath.
Through your body.
In your body.
As you begin to feel tension release and acceptance comes in.
We're going to change the breath pattern ever so slightly.
So through your nose again,
Inhale into your belly,
Keep inhaling.
Inhale into your chest.
Inhale all the way up to your collarbones and hold your breath here.
Hold.
Hold,
And exhale,
Sigh out through your mouth.
Twice more.
Inhale into your belly.
Into your chest,
Up into your collarbones.
Hold your breath.
Hold your breath.
Exhale,
Sigh out through your mouth.
One final time,
Inhale into your belly.
Into your chest,
Into your collarbones,
Expand,
Expand your chest,
Hold.
And exhale through your mouth.
As we prepare to leave our meditation.
Just bring your shoulders up to your ears.
Exhale and roll your shoulders down through your spine,
Releasing any last pieces of tension.
Gently rolling through your shoulders.
And then whenever you're feeling ready.
Opening your eyes.
Take a moment before moving through your day.
Thank you for joining.
Wishing you a blissful rest of your day.
