Bhramari - Bee Breathing
For me, there is something primordial about Bhramari. With closed eyes and ears sealed, what remains is just the sound — vibrating in your skull, your chest, the bones of your face — and it feels, in a way hard to explain, inviting and healing. That is no accident. The humming of Bhramari is, in essence, the M sound of mantra OM. The part where sound turns inward and begins to resonate within. With lips closed, the sound has nowhere to go but in. Ancient texts describe this as the hum of Brahman — the vibration underlying all existence. The vagus nerve is stimulated, the heart slows, the mind gets quiet. It is also an invitation to deep rest and sound sleep. Both Bhramari and OM carry you to the same place. That still, vibrating space between thoughts and silence. As OM resembles the Sound of creation of the Universe, Bhramari is a quieter, more private door to the same room. And the bees, they always inspire, with their hum and their tireless work.
