Longing For The Open Sea

Longing For The Open Sea began with a simple piano melody - wistful, unresolved, the kind that feels like staring at a horizon. From there, I built the sonic world around it: field recordings of ocean waves, synth pads that swell like whale song beneath the surface, and a repeating sonar ping that gives the track its quiet heartbeat. The goal was to make the listener feel submerged in open water - vast, a little lonely, but beautiful.
