Birds Over A Windless Lake | 10 Hours Sleep Soundscape
by Rimauri
Ten hours of continuous nature sounds for deep sleep and relaxation, recorded at a still mountain lake, 600 metres up in the jungle of Southeast Asia. Birds cross the air above the water and their song reaches you from near and far, while the distant voices of the valley settle behind them. The air was perfectly still that day, and the lake lay in a flat calm. Two microphones were placed twenty metres apart, one at the very surface of the water and one turned toward the forest, and the whole field was captured in 32-bit float. You hear the real width of the place as it opened around the recorder. The sound runs unbroken for 10 hours and 25 minutes, long enough to stay with you through the whole night. Start it as you lie down and let it carry you into sleep. Play it every night for thirty consecutive days, so that this lake becomes a familiar place to fall asleep in. Composed by Rimauri.
