Welcome to this visualization This one is about finishing what I'm starting This is about getting things done So the recommended use is at the beginning of any serious project Or it's when you're just avoiding completing something important So the purpose is to destroy some patterns of unfinished business Or to destroy a mentality or a personal pattern And it's also to install an identity of someone who completes at the highest level every time So you can sit on a comfortable chair Don't close your eyes yet I want you to think and see something that most people never want to look at directly How many things have you started and not finished?
Not the small things,
The real things The project that got hard and then went quiet The commitment you made to yourself that slowly became negotiable The version of you that was supposed to show up by now and kept getting postponed I want you to feel that Don't run from it Because this particular feeling,
That specific discomfort is exactly why you're here So now you're ready to close your eyes We're not here to feel bad about it We're here to end this pattern,
To learn from the lesson Some spent years studying talented,
Capable,
Intelligent people Why they don't finish what they started We can resume it to one word It's called resistance And hear what they said about it And what they will change How you see this forever Resistance is not laziness It's not a lack of discipline It's not a character flow Resistance is a force,
It's an energy It's invisible,
It's internal That is specifically and precisely proportional to the importance of the things that need to be done The bigger goal,
The stronger is the resistance Which means if you have been struggling to finish something If you keep stopping at the same point If the same projects keep losing momentum That is not evidence that you can't do it That is evidence that it is matters Resistance only shows up for the things worth finishing It never bothers with the irrelevant So resistance you've been feeling is not your enemy It's a direction,
It's a compass It's pointing directly at the thing in your life that is waiting to be complete I want you to give you some tools You don't fail to finish things because you're weak You fail to finish them because two parts of you are in conflict There is the part that started Full of energy,
Vision,
Excitement And there is another part,
The part that shows up half way And that says,
It's harder than I thought What if it doesn't work?
What if I finish and it's not good enough?
What if I finish and people will judge me?
What if I finish and then what?
This second part is not sabotage,
It's a protection It learns somewhere that finishing leads to judgment,
To exposure To the possibility of failure made permanent So it stops you before you get there I want you to meet that part now Not to fight it,
Not to shame it,
I just want you to meet it Feel where it lives in your body Chest,
Stomach,
Throat In your back Find it And say to it internally I know what you're doing I know you think you keep me safe here But unfinished is not safe Unfinished is the cost I am finishing this And I am taking you with me Feel this part Integrate it The conflict dissolved Both parts now moving in the same direction towards the finish line Let's talk about the man,
The leader Who is mission driven Not a mood driven Not a feeling driven But a mission driven He says The number one thing that collapse the masculine presence Is the man who let his mood determine his output Who starts strong Because it feels exciting and stops When it stops to feel exciting That's not the mission,
That's appetite A man of mission,
A leader of presence Finishing things because they are worth finishing Not because it feels good to finish them I will repeat that A man of mission,
A leader of presence Finishes things because they are worth finishing Not because it feels good to finish them The feeling comes after,
Not during After,
Every time The completion is just a reward But it's not the process The completion and that leader The one who can be trusted to complete,
To achieve Become the one people build their life around Their business around,
Their team around Because in a world of starters The finisher is everything I want to give you something physical now A tool that you can use in real time The moment you feel any resistance rising The moment you want to stop this short It's called the completion breath We're going to breathe in slowly through the nose And I'm going to count to four And we're going to hold it for four seconds And we're going to release slowly through the mouth For eight seconds So here it goes Breathe in slowly Two,
Three,
Four And hold it Two,
Three,
Four And breathe out Two,
Three,
Four Five,
Six,
Seven,
Eight And breathe in This is the finish So,
A bit more instructions When we breathe in through the nose I want you to feel the expansion in your chest When we hold I want you to feel the discomfort,
The resistance Don't escape it This is exactly when you have to quit When you breathe out through the mouth Breathe long,
Full,
Complete Because that is the finish You need to feel out the breath As twice as long as the in-breath Your body will learn This completion takes longer than starting Completion requires more Completion is the whole point So let's start again this breath Let's go in Two,
Three,
Four Hold Two,
Three,
Four Out Two,
Three,
Four Five,
Six,
Seven,
Eight In Two,
Three,
Four Hold Two,
Three,
Four Out Two,
Three,
Four Five,
Six,
Seven,
Eight One more round In Two,
Three,
Four Hold it Two,
Three,
Four And out Two,
Three,
Four Five,
Six,
Seven,
Eight Feel that Come back to normal That breath,
That specific breath Is your anchor for completion Anytime you want to stop short Anytime you have a resistance tell you to quit You take that breath and you keep going And now I want to give you a tool for your mind I want you to see something So pick one thing One real current important thing that you Have not yet finished You know what it is Now I want you to fast forward See yourself as you have achieved it As you are completing it You do not start it again You cross the finishing line And feel what that moment is like The weight that lifts in your shoulders The respect you feel for yourself And the space that opens up Because it's about energy If you give energy to things that you don't finish You don't also have the space to start something new So see that space opening up Feel that energy coming back to you Because it's finished See the version of you on the other side of that completion And my question is What do you take on next?
What is possible for you that wasn't possible before?
And here I just want you to repeat three times I finish what I start I finish what I start I finish what I start So before you are going to open your eyes I want you to name it The one thing you know what it is The one that has been waiting The one thing that you have resistance for it Name it inside of you And give it a date Give it a completion date Not a wish,
Not a hope Not vague Not something too short Just make it feasible Make it real And make a contract right now with this date Or even make this contract with the most important person in your life right now And you tell that person I will finish this by this date Not because it's easy But because from now on I'm someone that finishes things I'm done being anything else So take your completion breath one more time Press your fingers together,
Feel the ground,
Feel your momentum And when you're ready you go open your eyes As someone who finishes things
