This is intended to be listened to after exercising. The intention is to send a message to your body that it may now rest, that it's safe and that, most importantly, that it's appreciated. A healing and restful glow fills your tired body.

Hello,

And welcome to your cool down body gratitude meditation.

Go ahead and find a comfortable seat or lay down and when you feel ready,

Gently close your eyes or soften your gaze and let your breath slow down naturally.

Take a deep breath in,

Fill your belly and with an open mouth,

Exhale fully.

Do that a couple more times.

Bring your awareness into your body,

The same body that just carried you through your workout.

Notice your heartbeat.

Notice your breath and how it moves through you.

Notice the warmth or sensations moving through your muscles.

Feel the aliveness there.

Begin by silently saying,

Thank you.

Thank your legs for supporting you,

Your feet for holding you,

Your hips for powering your movements.

Thank your core for stabilizing you.

Your arms and shoulders for carrying strength,

Your lungs for giving you breath,

Your heart for giving you energy and life itself.

Take another slow breath in and as you exhale,

Imagine sending a warm golden light through your entire body,

A soft wash of appreciation.

Let this light move through the places that feel tight or tired.

Send love to the areas that worked hard today.

Send gentleness to the areas that feel sore or sensitive.

Now,

Repeat silently,

I honor my body,

I appreciate my body,

I love my body,

And I'm grateful for what it allows me to do.

Now stay with your breath for just a few more cycles,

Letting each exhale soften you deeper into rest and recovery.

When you're ready,

Bring your awareness back to the space around you.

Gently blink your eyes open and I invite you to carry this gratitude with you into the rest of your day.
