Sit or lie down in a comfortable position.
Gently close your eyes.
Take a deep breath in through your nose.
Hold it for a moment.
Now exhale slowly through your mouth.
Let's do that again.
Inhale deeply,
Hold,
And exhale gently.
With each breath,
Allow your body to soften,
To relax.
Let go of any tension you're holding.
Bring your awareness to the present moment.
Feel the surface beneath you,
Steady and supportive.
Let your attention move gently through your body,
Starting at your feet,
Moving up through your legs,
Your hips and torso.
Feel your back supported,
Your shoulders releasing.
Let your awareness travel down your arms,
To your hands,
And to the tips of your fingers.
Relax your neck.
Soften your face.
Unclench your jaw.
If your mind begins to wander,
That's okay.
Gently guide it back to your breath and the sensation of being grounded right here.

Bring to mind your beloved pet.
Picture them in a moment of joy,
Perhaps playing or resting peacefully.
See them clearly.
Remember the sound of their voice,
The way they move.
Their favorite spot to sit or nap.
Feel their presence and allow your heart to fill with warmth and love.
