I LOVE listening to this beautiful poem. We sang this in my high school chorus class with a lovely teacher, Mr. John Talcott, who helped to open our vistas and show us love. We needed that, as we were, most of us, in a rather strict and narrow religious group. Thank You Mr. Talcott!!!!! I hope to see you again someday.

… strive to be happy. I purchased a framed copy of Desiderata in MB, SC in the 80’s. It was a reminder, on my wall, for decades. Thank YOU for adding it to Insight Timer!

When I was a teenager I tried to memorize this poem. Was so comforting to me. I would say the first two stanzas to myself as I had not memorized the rest. I love the last stanza and have memorized a few sentences as well. I am going to use this as a meditation even though there are not breathing exercises here! Thank you for having this poem on insight timer!

I have been aware of this poem for some time, but it has been many years since I revisited it. Your spoken word version was truly sublime and soothing to me and my mother. We both felt better after listening to it. Thank you for taking the time to create this.
