Welcome to the Hummingbird Dream Garden.

In this meditation,

I'll gently guide your nervous system into a state of safety and relaxation,

Helping your body shift out of stress and into rest.

We'll begin with a short guided journey,

Settling into the body,

Softening the breath and entering a peaceful dream garden where even the smallest,

Most active creatures come to stillness.

After the guided portion,

My voice will fade and you'll be supported by calm,

Ambient sleep music.

You don't have to do anything perfectly,

Simply listen,

Follow along if it feels comfortable and allow your body to respond in its own time.

This is a space for safety,

For slowing down,

For deep,

Natural rest.

Let's begin.

So take a moment to arrive exactly where you are.

Nothing needs to be fixed,

Nothing needs to be solved,

Nothing needs to be understood.

This moment is simply for rest.

This is your sanctuary,

A place where your nervous system can soften and your body can remember what safety feels like.

Take a slow breath in through your nose and let it leave gently through your mouth.

Tonight,

The garden holds itself for you.

Nothing needs shaping,

Nothing needs answering.

You may rest in this quiet space.

Allow yourself to get as cozy and comfortable as possible.

Feel the surface beneath you,

The way it supports your weight without any effort from you.

Notice the back of your body,

The heels,

The back of your thighs,

Your hips heavy and supported,

Your spine,

Your shoulder blades,

The back of your head.

You are being held.

Allow your jaw to unclench,

Your tongue to rest,

Your eyes to grow heavy,

There's nowhere else to go.

Imagine now that just beyond your breath,

There is a quiet garden at twilight,

The sky is deep velvety blue,

Stars begin to twinkle softly far above,

The air is warm but light,

Brushing your skin like a gentle caress,

A soft breeze moves through the leaves,

Whispering through branches,

Brushing over petals,

Carrying the quiet hum of evening.

This is your dream garden.

It is enclosed,

Protected,

Sacred.

Nothing enters here that does not honor your rest.

So you step inside,

The earth beneath your feet is soft and welcoming,

Each step sinks gently into moss and soil,

A small stream flows through the garden,

Its water moving quietly over smooth stones,

Its gentle rhythm mirrors your breath,

Slow,

Calm,

Effortless,

Flowers nod quietly in the breeze,

Their petals brush softly together,

The scent of night-blooming jasmine drifts through the air,

Delicate and sweet.

Tiny fireflies glow like suspended lanterns flickering gently around you.

Earlier in the day,

Hummingbirds moved quickly through this garden,

Bright and precise,

Alive,

But now even the hummingbirds are slowing,

They find their resting branches tucked safely among the leaves,

Tiny bodies becoming still,

Wings that moved so quickly now folded in peace,

A gentle hush settles across the garden,

The stream,

The breeze,

The flowers,

All breathing with you,

The hummingbirds find their branches,

Calm and safe,

And here in this twilight garden,

You too may drift into ease,

Your eyes feel heavy,

Or maybe they're already closed,

Your body softens,

Your breath becomes slow and steady,

Rising and falling like the calm of the garden night,

Every part of you that moved and hurried during the day now finds stillness,

The stars above continue to shimmer softly,

Holding you in quiet light,

The night sky,

The earth,

The garden,

All here to cradle you,

All here to honor your rest,

And as you sink deeper into this dream garden,

Even the smallest sounds,

The softest sounds,

The gentlest movements become your lullaby,

Here you are safe,

Here you can simply be,

Bring your awareness to the crown of your head,

A soft twilight light rests there,

Gentle and calm,

Like the first stars appearing in the evening sky,

It moves slowly down your forehead,

Smoothing the space between your brows,

Softening the muscles around your eyes,

Your cheeks relax,

Your jaw loosens as though the evening breeze is brushing over the petals of a flower,

Soft and cool,

Your throat softens,

Your shoulders melt downward,

Releasing the weight of the day,

Arms growing heavy,

Settling into the support beneath you,

Fingers curling naturally,

Wrists soft,

Each breath rising and falling in rhythm with the gentle whisper of the garden,

Your chest rises and falls without effort,

Your belly softens,

Expanding and contracting naturally,

No holding,

No bracing,

Just gentle presence,

Your hips sink deeper,

Connecting with the earth beneath,

Legs growing warm,

Loose and heavy,

Knees soft,

Calves relaxed,

Feet and toes releasing,

Imagine roots or gentle streams carrying the weight of your day away,

All tension dissolving right into the soil,

Into the cool comforting shadows of the garden,

Your whole body like the garden at nightfall,

Soft leaves,

Calm flowers,

Quiet earth,

Nothing stirring,

Nothing reaching,

Just being.

Wrapped in the twilight,

Cradled by the soft hum of the evening,

Held by the world itself,

Breathing,

Expanding,

A quiet hush settles over your body,

A soft rhythm matching the whispers of leaves and distant streams,

You are safe here,

You are steady,

You are allowed to drift peacefully,

And if there are thoughts still fluttering,

Let them be like distant birds returning home,

They do not need your attention,

And if there are feelings present,

They too can lie down,

Nothing inside you needs fixing tonight,

Even the unseen parts of you can rest in this garden,

And in a few moments my voice will begin to fade,

The garden remains quiet,

Still,

Wrapped in twilight,

Soft ambient music flows all around you,

A calm steady presence supporting your rest,

You may drift,

You may float,

You may simply be,

Your only job now is to let go,

Nothing needs tending tonight,

Nothing needs solving,

You are safe,

You are held,

Sleep unfolds naturally when the body and mind feel supported,

And let the music carry you into calm,
