Gunehr Sound Museum

The Gunehr Sound Museum is a unique cultural project in Gunehr village (near Bir, Himachal Pradesh) that creates immersive soundscapes of the Himalayas, featuring indigenous forest sounds, folk music (Gaddi/Bhangali), and community life (chulha meals, streams, stillness) within a traditional mudhouse setting, acting as a mobile art project to highlight ecological preservation and rural culture through storytelling and sound. It's not a typical museum with static exhibits, but a living, traveling experience led by anoop, and LIVE Indian classical vocals and Himachal folksongs by Revati.

I reall enjoyed this meditation. Loved the visualization; brought to mind good memories of my dad telling us stories about growing up in the Catskill Mountains (and other vivid stories he’d make up. I’ll use this one often...Namaste. ✨🙏🏽✨
