Welcome,
My name is Natascha and I will guide you through this meditation using the Soham Mantra.
Soham is an ancient Sanskrit mantra that can be translated as I Am.
Please sit comfortably and close your eyes.
And before we begin our meditation,
Let's ask ourselves a few questions.
Who am I?
You may not know the answer to this question,
But this may be a good time to start this dialogue with the universe.
Who am I?
And what do I want?
The answers can be material,
Spiritual,
Ethereal,
Physical,
Emotional,
Anything you would like to see fulfilled.
What do I want?
And what is my Dharma?
Or my purpose in life?
How can I help?
How can I serve?
And what am I grateful for?
What am I grateful for?
Now let's take a deep breath in and exhale out.
Let all the answers go and allow the universe to work out the details.
For a few minutes simply observe the inflow and outflow of your breath.
Now take a slow deep breath through your nose while thinking the word SO.
And exhale slowly through your nose while thinking the word HUM.
Allow your breathing to flow easily,
Silently repeating SO HUM with each inflow and outflow of your breath.
And whenever your attention drifts to thoughts in your mind,
Sounds in your environment or sensations in your body,
Gently return to your breath.
And silently repeating SO HUM.
And continue this process with an attitude of effortlessness and simplicity.
I will mind the time for you.
I will let you know when the time is up.
And please remember when the time is up,
Sit comfortably with your eyes closed for a couple of minutes before resuming your daily activity.
