Welcome to this EFT tapping meditation to calm anxiety for your dog or to calm your own anxiety in times of stress with your pet.
Find a quiet space with your dog nearby or simply hold or imagine them in your heart.
You don't need to touch them,
But if your dog enjoys your gentle touch,
Sit close and lay your hand on their favorite petting spot.
Begin by taking a few slow,
Grounded breaths.
Inhale deeply for the count of five.
Hold.
And exhale fully for the count of six.
Let's do that again and feel your body connected to the earth and your heart connected to your pet as you breathe.
Big deep breath in for five seconds.
And release all tension in your body for the count of six.
Now let's begin our tapping.
Start to tap your karate chop point,
Which is the side of your hand,
And repeat after me.
You can do this out loud or just say the words internally.
Even though my dog is anxious right now,
And I feel a bit helpless.
I deeply love and accept both of us.
Even though I wish I could fix it all,
I honor my intention to soothe my dog.
Even though I'm holding some of the stress too,
I choose calm.
Let's repeat that one more time while tapping the karate chop point.
Even though my dog is anxious right now and I feel a bit helpless.
I deeply love and accept both of us.
Even though I wish I could fix it all,
I honor my intention to soothe my dog.
Even though I'm holding some of the stress too,
I choose calm.
Move to tapping gently on the top of your head.
We both carry this stress.
Move to tapping your inner eyebrow.
This is some tense energy.
Move to tap the side of your eye.
I see their restlessness.
Tap under your eye and I feel it too in my chest.
Tap under your nose.
I hate seeing them like this.
Now your chin.
I wish I could explain that everything is okay.
Tapping your collarbone.
It's hard when I don't have control.
Back to the top of the head.
But I'm here now and I choose to bring calm to us both.
Tapping next to your eyebrow,
I breathe for both of us.
Side of the eye.
I send them safety with every breath.
Under the eye.
My calm is they calm.
Under the nose.
I whisper reassurance through my energy.
Even if they're still scared,
I am steady.
Collarbone.
I offer comfort,
Not pressure.
Back to the top of the head.
I invite peace into this moment.
Eyebrow,
We are both safe.
Side of the eye.
We are together.
Under the eye.
I choose to lead with love.
Under the nose.
I release the urge to fix everything.
Action.
Just being here together is enough.
Collarbone.
They feel my presence.
Top of the head.
And that is healing in itself.
Move back to tapping the karate chop point and repeat.
We are safe.
We are calm.
Together we've got this.
We are safe.
We are calm.
Together we've got this.
We are safe.
We are calm.
Together we've got this.
Now take one final deep breath.
In for five.
And out for six.
Visualize in your mind,
Wrapping both yourself and your dog in a soft blanket of safety and protection.
Thanks for tapping with me.
You can repeat this at any time.
Good luck with your day and remember that together you have got this.
