So this will be a guided experience,
Or you could call it guided meditation.
You might be better off if you don't think about it in terms of meditation.
You don't have to have a context for this.
Sometimes when we think meditation,
We think of a certain technique.
Or our mind goes into a certain mode of.
.
.
Perception.
This is.
A simple guidance,
A simple pointing.
2.
A kind of mystery.
A mystery that's available here.
But it isn't a mystery based in thought.
It isn't a mystery that you need to.
.
.
Try to solve.
It's a felt experience of the mysterious.
You could say that whatever it is that's here.
Whatever it is that's in your experience right now.
Regardless of what form that experience is taking.
It could take the form of feeling.
Sensation.
It could take the form of sound.
It could take the form of scenery.
Colors,
Forms.
It could take the shape of consciousness.
Of thought.
The mind might be wondering right now what this is about.
Or whether you understand this.
It might even be speaking in your voice.
Might sound like that thought is your thought.
Like you're the one thinking.
This is another possible experience.
So whatever experiences are rising for you right now.
This is what we're going to explore.
And we're going to explore something very simple.
And that is.
That whatever's appearing for you right now.
Whatever's arising for you right now.
Is the only possibility.
So you don't need to do anything about it.
Whatever the feeling is right now.
You don't have to do anything about it.
Whatever the sensation field.
Is bringing forth right now.
Needs no solution.
Whatever sound is appearing now.
Whether it's my voice.
Or the ambient sounds in the room.
Or a ringing in your ears.
None of this needs any direction.
Nor does it need to be changed in any way.
Nor could it be other than it is.
So everything that is arising,
Appearing,
Felt,
Seen,
Heard,
Cognized.
Is precisely how it has to be now.
Meaning there's no better.
And there's no worse.
So then we can explore what happens when we let go of better and worse right now.
We can explore what we experience when we don't try to modify experience.
Resting in experience doesn't mean stopping and being in some fixed position.
Resting in experience means you are the experience.
Nothing more.
Nothing less.
How could you be other?
How could there be anything other than this?
This feeling.
This sound.
This thought.
This movement of consciousness.
This vast ocean of consciousness.
With no center.
No edge.
No parts.
All inclusive.
Forming any kind of thought at once.
And never losing.
Anything.
Never losing itself.
You've never lost yourself.
You've never been apart from yourself.
You've never been anything except all parts of yourself.
Right now.
You couldn't be anywhere else.
You couldn't be any different.
There's no need for anything to be other than it is.
There's no possibility for anything to be other than it is right now.
Including a thought that is confused.
A thought that believes there could be something different.
A thought that believes in the future.
Where things could be different.
Even that thought right now.
Couldn't be other than it is.
It is exactly how it is.
One wave on a cosmic ocean.
The vast,
Infinite.
Ocean.
Of consciousness.
Of being.
Of indescribable.
And mouthable.
Reality.
Here,
And now.
Exactly like this.
