Most people take the time to love others,
But never truly love themselves.
Our inner Craig is the loudest voice in our heads and is usually the most vicious and harmful voice in our lives.
Telling us what we are unworthy of,
Filling us with doubt,
Sadness,
Worry,
Disbelief.
Most of the time,
The worry and scenarios played out by our inner critic are much worse than any real life scenario.
We waste so much time and thought energy with them running through our minds.
Our true nature.
Is perfect in every way and worthy of the most unconditional love that we have to offer.
We are humans though.
So we will express and sometimes even identify with the actions,
Thoughts and words coming from our ego self and not our higher self.
But these things are also a part of the human experience and deserve our love too.
We must learn to love ourselves before we can truly learn to love others.
A lot of people base their self-worth and acceptance from others.
Social media plays a big role in that,
And people are constantly comparing themselves to others.
The only likes that really matter are the ones we have for ourselves.
The only thing you have to be good at is being yourself.
I'm the greatest at being Ollie Smith on this planet.
No one else can do it like me.
I kill it.
But I would suck at being anyone else.
I would also be miserable because I'm pretending to be something that I'm not,
And would also be holding myself to an unrealistic standard.
Get to know yourself.
And love the hell out of yourself,
Every single part of you.
Now let's begin the practice.
Get in a comfortable meditative position,
Whatever that is for you.
Now get in a comfortable meditative position.
Whatever that is for you.
And we'll begin by taking a couple deep centering breaths.
In and out through our nose and all the way down to our belly.
Let's inhale nice and deeply.
Nice,
Full,
Long,
Slow,
Deep breath.
And exhale that breath all the way out.
Inhale again deeply.
Nice long,
Slow,
Full,
Deep breath.
Fill your body up with air.
And exhale that breath all the way out.
Feel your lungs fall,
Feel your belly drop.
And inhale again deeply,
Nice long slow full breath again.
And exhale it breath all the way out.
Now continue breathing on your own.
Make your breath effortless.
Let it flow naturally.
Just let your body breathe.
And we're going to bring our awareness to our heart center.
All of our awareness is going to be right there.
And as we do.
We're going to think of a time.
Where we felt really loved.
It could be because of a person,
Because of a thing,
Because of a situation.
It could even be because of yourself.
Just think about a time when you felt really,
Really bad.
Loved.
Unconditionally loved.
How did that make you feel?
What sensations did you feel in your mind?
What sensations did you feel in your body?
What did you feel energetically?
Take the time to get in touch with that feeling.
And feel it at your heart center.
Really strong and powerful love.
Now that same love.
.
.
You're gonna feel for yourself.
Every part of you you're going to love unconditionally.
That love that you felt from an outside source.
Feel that love.
Coming to yourself,
From yourself.
Stay on that love vibe,
That love energy,
That love feeling,
And keep feeling it for yourself.
And as you feel it,
Know that it's what you deserve.
It's what you need.
It's what fills you up.
Unconditionally love yourself.
With no expectations.
No doubts.
No worry.
No fear.
Just love yourself.
Now use your imagination.
Start to see all your strengths.
All those things that you really love about yourself that other people love about you.
The things that you see as quote unquote good.
See all those things about yourself.
And send those things love.
Feel the love for those parts of yourself.
No matter how big or small.
Recognize it.
And feel love for it.
It's one of the beautiful things about you.
Feel love for all of those strengths.
Or those parts that you love about yourself.
That other people love about you.
Feel that strong,
Unconditional love.
For all of those things.
See all those things that you may have seen as weaknesses in the past.
But now?
Because of how much you're loving yourself,
You're not gonna see them as weaknesses.
You're going to see them as opportunities from the universe to help you learn and grow as a person,
As a partner,
As a friend,
And as a human being.
It's hard to learn lessons without those parts of ourselves.
It's hard to grow without those parts of ourselves.
So we're no longer going to see them as weaknesses.
We're going to see them as opportunities.
For growth and development.
And we're going to feel love for those as well.
That same love that you saw and felt for the things you saw as strengths.
Seen feel that same love for these parts of you too.
Because they make you who you are.
And they've gotten you to this point in your life.
They're part of you and they deserve love too.
So see and feel that love for them.
Now?
We're going to see a situation or an opportunity.
That we may have been afraid to do at some point in our life.
Because you thought you might fail.
With your imagination.
At your heart center.
You're gonna see yourself lovingly.
Completing that thing.
And you're going to see yourself crushing it.
And you're gonna love yourself.
For overcoming that fear.
And making that thing happen.
Remember,
See yourself overcoming fear,
Overcoming doubt,
Overcoming worry.
And accomplishing that goal.
And love yourself for it.
That same unconditional love you've been feeling through this practice.
Hold space.
For feeling that love.
And seeing yourself.
Accomplishing that thing.
Now?
We're going to see a mistake that we may have made in the past.
Something that you did that you're still holding on to and may not have forgiven yourself for yet.
And as you see this thing and see yourself doing it,
You're gonna lovingly forgive yourself.
We're all humans.
We all make mistakes.
But we also deserve love and forgiveness,
Especially for ourselves.
So as you see this situation and you see yourself in it,
You're gonna very,
Very lovingly and caringly forgive yourself and let it go.
And send yourself a whole lot of love.
See and feel that love filling you up.
And releasing that thing that you've been holding onto and haven't forgiven yourself for.
Now at our heart center,
We're going to see all those people.
Who helped make us the person we are today.
Whether that's parents,
Friends,
Co-workers,
Children,
Grandparents,
A pet.
Anyone that's helped make you the amazing person that you are right now.
See them all at your heart center and see and feel that love for them.
Just as strong as you felt it for yourself.
See and feel that love for all those people or all those things.
Who have made you who you are today.
They're part of you as well.
So see and feel that love for them as well.
Now we're going to very slowly and gradually draw ourselves out of the practice.
We're gonna start by very,
Very lightly wiggling our fingers and toes.
We're going to roll our wrists and roll our ankles.
And move our head a little bit from side to side.
And then whenever you're ready.
You can slowly,
Slowly open up your eyes.
Thank you for practicing.
