Hello and welcome to this edition of wild reflections of a neuro-colorful brain.
Neuro-colorful reflections of a wild brain,
Whichever way you like it.
My name is Aga Kouroub.
I am a neurotransformational guide.
And I love creating spaces for deep feeling neuro-colorful female entrepreneurs to feel heard,
Seen,
To come home to themselves,
And to actually become the person that their life story is about.
And these reflections are unscripted.
I've tried hard to.
Do things the scripted way,
And all that happens is procrastination.
And so I'm allowing myself for now,
Or maybe I'll actually come to like it.
To come into this space and see how it can bring value.
Without having anything written down,
Just knowing that I'm going to be reflecting.
On a certain thought.
Or word,
And today it's overwhelm,
And how to move from overwhelm to choice,
Something that for me has been,
And is still.
Challenging from time to time.
Um.
.
.
And by the way.
I'm so happy that you've tuned in.
And want to say welcome.
And I also want to say that you'll probably get value out of this if you're actually up to following the musings of a brain that sometimes does not know where it's going to go in the next moment.
I've tried to actually stick to what I came into in here to to discuss,
So let's get back to it.
Overwhelmed.
What is overwhelmed for you when you think overwhelmed?
And that way it will give me time to think as well.
What comes to your mind and for me actually most important or even almost more important.
What comes to your body when you think of overwhelm?
What thoughts,
What things,
What feelings.
And I feel like overwhelm is,
As I just said,
This faithful companion of adult life.
For me,
I know that I'm overwhelmed when I get up in the morning and my first thought is can't wait for this day to be over or I really don't want to face this.
In my case,
It's mostly admin stuff and as an entrepreneur.
Oh my God,
So there's so much admin or even things like I love recording this and then oh yeah I'll have to release an edit cut out,
But mostly it's really dealing with stuff where.
Maybe even I won't know the outcome.
Right now,
I moved to a different country a while ago.
And I still had a bank account in the country I was living before and they're making it really hard for me to close that account and I feel that just facing writing again and then getting back an email and saying we're not able to blah blah blah that that's the overwhelm the and I think that's it it's a feeling of helplessness.
Um.
.
.
And a feeling of urge.
Urge,
And helplessness.
Is there anything else?
What comes up for you?
Um.
.
.
It has to be done.
And I'm not the only person dependent on that.
That's one possibility.
And then also,
The other day I was actually taken back to a time where I was feeling overwhelmed for things that were not there in my life.
The absence of a romantic relationship,
The absence of fulfillment,
The absence of true connection,
The absence of work that I actually enjoyed,
And that also created this sensation of overwhelm.
At the time where Um.
.
.
While facing the day.
It was like,
Really,
Do I have to go through another day with these things absent from my life?
Um.
.
.
And so yeah.
Let's maybe face things from what thoughts am I overwhelming myself with,
Both with things that are there.
And things that are not there.
As you hear me talk,
Are you able to come up with some things that you feel are causing a sensation of overwhelm?
And if so,
Where in your body does it show up?
And how does it show up?
Is it a strong feeling?
Is it tense?
Is it a kind of pain,
A throb?
Is it actually,
Does it feel like,
Like in my case,
It usually feels like something that's drawing extreme,
An extreme amount of energy out of my body and I actually just feel like slumping over.
Um.
.
.
Or is it a kind of drive like,
I need to get everything done now?
Are you like me where you have 25 tabs open and you're actually promising yourself by the time the day's over.
Only tab that will be open is that of your calendar.
Everything will have been worked.
Removed.
Worked off.
Um.
.
.
Interestingly enough,
Though.
.
.
Because I choose to open these tabs,
They don't cause overwhelm.
I actually feel at home when I.
.
.
Open my compute and I see.
25 tabs,
Sometimes more where you can just see.
A blue square,
And it's like,
That seems to be a Google Doc,
Thank you.
Which one is it?
Which of the six is it?
Um,
Yeah.
So as you tune into your body.
And you.
Are thinking of.
Overwhelming thoughts.
I.
Want you to Imagine those thoughts.
Maybe as a crowd.
Let's go with crowd.
As a crowd of people talking around you.
And um.
.
.
If you're deep feeling,
If you're highly sensitive,
Probably already feel,
Oh my God.
Can you think the last time you were in a crowd of people and you just heard the murmur and conversations,
Or maybe you were trying to give attention to more than one person and you didn't know where to take this?
I'm actually taken.
Uh.
.
.
There was a time where my husband,
Who's Spanish,
And I would spend our Sundays with his family and Wow.
Hanging with a Spanish family can sometimes be.
.
.
Six people,
Six conversations.
And I,
I in the middle of it,
I was trying to actually give attention to everyone.
So that's where I'm taking,
When I think of a crowd,
It doesn't even have to be a huge crowd,
Just the feeling of,
Various people and men.
When you have,
When you're there.
Want you to imagine the most fun-looking,
In your mind,
Create the most fun-looking.
.
.
Lady.
Maybe she's wearing a sun hat.
Maybe a fascinator.
Maybe just has this fun haircut color.
Maybe she has tattoos.
What does she look like?
Um.
.
.
And she's waving at you.
And you know she's waving at you,
Even though there are other people.
You know she wants to talk to you.
And.
.
.
It's really compelling because she has this calm.
She's waving at you,
But she has this calm.
Unlike what's going on around you.
And you approach.
And she greets you.
How does she greet you?
Does she nod?
Does she give you her hand?
And she introduces herself as Lady Choice.
Can you ask her again?
What was your name?
Lady Choice.
And.
.
.
Yeah.
Amen.
You become aware.
Of something that you've maybe not been aware of during this Um.
.
.
Awareness about the overwhelm,
The thoughts of overwhelm.
And focusing on them.
You haven't been aware of choice.
And I just want you for one moment to maybe be open to the thought that each and every one of the thoughts that provoke this sensation of overwhelming you.
Also hold.
Choices.
How would that look like?
And it looks different.
It looked like a choice of.
Um,
Not giving that thing an attention.
If it's maybe something someone has told you,
You should be actually concerned or focusing on,
But it has nothing to do with your life.
It's not important.
It's actually not important for you.
It's important to them,
But maybe not to you.
Um.
.
.
Maybe.
Going slower.
Delegating.
Or starting to think of what could create a change in the current moment.
Does it have to be today?
That everything is done.
Are there things that can wait?
Is there a way that You know the way,
You know,
I don't know about you,
But I grew up in this mentality,
With this mentality,
If you do your homework,
And then once you're done,
You can have your hot chocolate.
Now I'm like.
Why should I punish myself while I'm doing this unloved task?
Why not have my tea,
My sweet tea?
While I'm writing this email or something else that I enjoy.
Why not listen to this song that makes me smile while I'm writing this email?
I'm well able to write an email and listen to music.
So I still hear my mom saying,
You can't listen to music while you do your homework.
It's taking away concentration.
And now it's like Yeah,
But no.
I feel like listening to this song while I'm doing this.
If it's something that has to be done.
And.
.
.
Just connect to,
Just have a chat with Lady Chardis,
Exactly.
Chat with Lady Choice.
What's she saying?
What's she telling you about?
Your situation?
What's she telling you about the thoughts that are causing overwhelm?
What is her take?
And what are you willing?
To take from her.
Because she even gives you a choice whether you choose what she presents to you as a choice.
So from all that he is telling you,
What do you choose to take?
For yourself.
And really lean into that,
That connecting to lady choice is never.
Um,
The agenda of her is never to create more overwhelm,
It's to take it out.
So even what you take from her now.
Really choose to.
And then.
.
.
Tell yourself on the you know your situation on you you know The thoughts that are overwhelming yourself tell yourself,
I choose to.
And And then once you're done.
Find yourself back in your space.
It's been beautiful chatting to Lady Choice.
And.
.
.
Go on!
Maybe write down what you took away from this.
Maybe write down what are going to be the next steps,
Maybe Um.
.
.
Maybe color your wall with post-its?
Maybe open another tab?
Journal.
Whatever it is that helps you keep connected.
With this chart.
But lady choice.
And Tell me.
Tell me what works for you.
It's been beautiful hanging with you.
If you're still sticking around,
Then let me know.
Let me know what was your takeaway.
Yes,
And I hope to see you in hopefully another edition soon of.
.
.
Peace.
Reflections.
Take care.
And be well.
