This is an end of day gratitude meditation.
Let this be your final activity before falling asleep.
Find comfortable position laying on your bed or sitting upright.
Start by taking deep breaths into the belly and exhaling it out.
You find a natural rhythm,
The movement of the breath.
Allow yourself to ground into the safe space,
Letting the body feel at ease,
Making no demands of it.
Feel as the body becomes heavy,
Singing into rest,
Letting the emotions settle as we release any agitation or tension from the day,
Allowing anxiety and external pressures to flow out of your being.
Notice as the mind begins to slow,
Releasing the repetitive thoughts,
The need to be busy to be doing.
Allow yourself to simply be,
Granting ourselves permission to be here in the now.
Stay breathing,
Stay connected.
As we lay in rest,
We allow the images of the day to flow through our consciousness.
Every day is different than the day prior,
Even by the smallest measures.
What occurred today that made it so unique?
Allow the being to experience this uniqueness.
Notice how this remembrance can stir our emotions and thoughts.
Breathe into the heart space.
As we exhale,
We release.
Allow the heart to open and expand.
Simply acknowledge the actions of the day without being attached to them.
On this unique day,
What can you be grateful for?
What left an impression upon you?
Maybe a person,
An event,
Maybe the sun shining on your face.
Hold gratitude for this experience.
Stay breathing,
Stay connected.
Remain in this state of gratitude.
How grateful for another day of life,
For another breath.
Sink deeper into rest.
Let us be grateful for the resources cultivated into our experience.
The food to nourish,
The water to sustain life.
Feel as the body absorbs what it's consumed,
Helping to heal and restore the body.
Stay breathing,
Stay connected.
Let us hold gratitude for the work we do.
May we be inspired to be of service to others,
Creating a positive impression upon the world,
Grateful for the abundance that flows to us so we can fully experience this journey of life.
Deep breath in.
Exhale it out.
Bring to mind those in your life whom you care lovingly about.
How grateful we are for their presence.
Exchange those whom you've exchanged love,
Peace,
And affection towards.
They help provide meaning and purpose.
Stay breathing,
Stay connected.
How grateful we are for this home and for the bed you lay upon.
May it continue to provide you comfort in a space of rest.
Allow the being to fall deeper into peace.
Letting go of our attachments as we are connected to the spirit within us.
Let us be grateful for this night of sleep.
May the body heal and repair itself during the slumber.
Thinking deeper into the being.
The physical body is merely an instrument to express our true,
Authentic selves.
We are beings of light,
Expressions of love.
May you always remain connected to the true self.
The light within me honors the light within you.
