It is so easy to be distracted, frustrated, and downright upset when things don’t go our way. But if life worked precisely the way we wanted, there is a good chance we would get bored with that. What if we embrace life for what it is with no expectations, no judgments, no what if? Empty of everything else but this moment in time. Allow yourself to be present in time.

Namaste,

Good morning and welcome.

My name is Samantha from Zayoga.

And before you start,

Stretch a little bit because it will be helpful when you come into your seat.

And now that that seat should be comfortable.

So sitting on a bolster,

A block,

And a chair,

Those are all very good ways to come into a comfortable seat.

So let's begin.

You can close your eyes or you can keep them open,

Gazing down at the tip of your nose.

And allow yourself to take a nice deep breath in.

And let's exhale it through the mouth.

Again,

As you inhale,

Lengthen the spine.

And exhale.

Just allow yourself to settle in,

Taking in the sounds.

I think it's,

No matter what sound it is,

You're connecting to or waking into life that surrounds you.

Even the machines are making the sounds because there's people behind them.

So we get annoyed with the sounds we don't want to hear at that moment.

But can you embrace life for what it is and it's chaos and it's loveliness?

So allow yourself to be in that space,

However the space may be.

And allow your spine to be long.

Relax the face.

We hold tension in places we don't even notice.

So just becoming more aware,

Awakening to the muscles,

To our nervous system.

And settle in.

And settle in.

And ask yourself,

How do you feel at this moment?

If you feel joy,

If you feel anger,

If you feel sadness,

Allow yourself to be in that space and just notice.

Not judge it.

We're not judging the anger.

We're not judging the fear,

The sadness.

We're just noticing it.

And then we're just allowing ourselves to let it be.

And when I say that,

I mean,

Don't connect to it other than to do it.

Don't connect to it other than to just notice.

Don't dwell in it.

So like I said about the sounds,

There are some sounds that are uncomfortable that are not what you wanna hear at that moment,

But they're there.

So you just take it in and accept it and continue.

And after a while,

That sound,

That noise,

No longer has relevance anymore.

It's there,

But it has no effect,

No meaning.

That's the same with your emotions.

You're aware that you're sad.

You're aware that you're angry.

You're aware that you're angry.

You're aware that you have joy.

But there are emotions and they're there to give you different levels of feelings.

And an experience that you can carry with you so that you can learn,

So you can gain some knowledge.

But it's only a moment.

That anger,

That sadness,

Do pass.

Maybe it comes again if you give it the attention,

If you put a lot of attention into that feeling.

But if you go within,

Settle within that feeling,

That feeling of being in that feeling,

Go within,

Settle within that consistent stillness,

That consistent peace that's within you,

Then those are just moments that will come.

You will notice,

You will question,

And then you will let it go because you're having an experience.

And I know it sounds easier than I,

And then it actually is.

But your practice of meditation and mindfulness is not that you can go sit on cloud nine.

Life is an experience,

And there's gonna be challenges,

And there's gonna be some challenges,

And there's gonna be some wonderful,

Glorious moments.

When we can create a space,

A life,

A balance in all of it,

Then we're truly loving.

So yes,

There are going to be some sad,

Fearful,

Angry,

Frustrating,

Chaotic moments in your life,

And sometimes it seems like they're consistently happening.

What is always consistent is your energy within.

If you choose to let that energy be all over the place,

In your mind,

In your fears,

Then that's where you live your life.

Not every day I wake up happy,

Not every day I wake up playful,

But I take on each day with a loving,

Loving soul.

And there's gonna be times that I'm gonna have to take a few more deep breaths to continue.

Allow yourself to connect to that,

Wake up to that energy.

Every day is a different day,

A new day,

A new day to start.

Take in the day,

Become aware.

Your meditation is that simply becoming aware,

Conscious of the inner being within you and allow it to connect to your universe,

To your life,

To all life that surrounds you.

So today,

Wake up,

Take notice,

Notice the fluctuations as changes.

Don't dwell on them,

Just accept and take them in for what they are,

Moments in time.

Enjoy the experience and then let it go.

Have a wonderful day.

Take care,

Stay healthy,

Stay safe.

Namaste.
