Hello and welcome to the session.

Today we're going to be practicing a form of introspection I call intuitive guidance.

In this process we identify and release the limiting beliefs that no longer serve you.

We do this through a collection of techniques including mindfulness,

Visualization,

Introspection and manifestation.

By the end of this session you will become aware of some of the blocks that are holding you back and we'll have begun the process of accepting them and then allowing them to release.

Let's begin.

I invite you to lay down,

Take a seat,

You can close down the eyes if you wish.

Take a slow,

Deep breath in through the nose and out through the mouth and as we settle into this session just continue to slow down the breath.

The mind and the body are deeply interconnected and a calm body leads to a calm mind and a gives us access to the subconscious,

To our inner spaces,

To the subtle energetic play and flow of our bodies.

The body really does keep the score,

We hold onto tensions,

Traumas and issues of our past,

Memories are stored in our physical being in the Soma and most every tradition and practice recognizes this,

From Vipassana's body scan to the inner child work and shadow work of Freud and Jung.

We know that the energies of the past are held in that body and in this session we're going to discover some of those energies,

Identify them,

Accept them and thereby begin to release them,

Because it's only through understanding,

Seeing and accepting can we ever begin to heal,

So take another slow,

Deep breath in through the nose and out through the mouth and just ask your mind,

Your body and your soul to just open,

To speak,

To reveal any blocks,

Barriers or limiting beliefs,

This could be in the form of a question or a request,

For example,

Where am I being held back,

Or show me my blocks,

Or you could also perform a body scan,

Starting at the top of the head and slowly moving down and encompassing every part of the body,

Just looking for points of tension,

Points of blockages,

Points of restriction,

This could be energetic,

It could be cognitive,

It could be physical restrictions,

The way you know you've found one of these restrictions is that it either has an intense,

Strong feeling or it is comparatively numb,

Every part of your body will have sensations all of the time,

And if you pay close enough attention you'll notice it,

But some spaces when you look inside feel intense,

Or they don't feel anything at all,

Those are the ones to look for,

So keep scanning down the body,

Down the head,

To the neck,

To the shoulders,

The arms,

The hands,

The fingers,

The upper chest,

The lower chest,

The belly,

The groin,

The upper back,

Mid back,

Lower back,

Seat,

Upper legs,

Lower legs,

Feet,

Toes,

So with these questions,

These requests,

And this body scan,

You'll have a good somatic and introspective connection to the totality of the self,

The first part of this process is to become aware,

We're not initially at least trying to change anything,

We're just going to become aware of what's arising,

If you found tension in the back of your neck for example,

I just want you to sit with it,

And just observe it,

Just sort of notice how that tension is actually in movement,

In flow,

It's not just a static single thing,

If we label that tension as tension,

Or as a block,

Which we have been doing up until now,

That can be a static approach that sort of locks it in place,

But let's dive a little bit deeper and just look into those blocks,

What do they consist of,

Notice the different feelings,

Notice the play,

Notice the movement,

And if you come across a numb area or numb space,

Notice that,

How big is the numbness,

How deep does that numbness go,

Is the numbness moving,

Come more and more aware of what you've noticed arising,

And ask this space,

This place,

Those questions,

What do you have to show me,

What are you trying to tell me,

I would like to listen,

I would like to see,

And if it feels right,

You might offer that space more words,

Words of encouragement,

Connection,

Peace or safety,

This part of your body is holding on to energies from the past,

Because oftentimes we didn't have the time or the capacity to process it back then,

So offering that part of you,

The gift of safety,

For example,

Telling that part,

You are safe,

It is not happening anymore,

Or I am ready to see and to feel,

I'm ready to look,

And although I would like to help you release,

I'm not going to force it,

I'm going to observe you,

As one would watch a river's flow,

Just watching it,

Just listening,

Just observing,

The ever-changing,

Yet seemingly constant,

Presence,

Now sit with this space,

And just invite a visualization to arise,

An analogy for what could come,

Could be a dream,

And in the same way dreams are sort of oblique references to our life,

Or to different truths we're trying to ponder,

The visualization may come from sitting and meditating on this space,

Or an analogy to what those spaces are holding on to,

Whatever arises,

Don't be alarmed,

We're not creating anything here,

We're just observing what is arising,

So whatever is arising was always,

Or already there,

Thus all we're doing is becoming aware of it,

Oftentimes with this process of intuitive guidance,

People report back to symbolic imagery,

Oftentimes visuals of nature in crisis,

Or perhaps systems that aren't quite in alignment,

The responses and the visualizations are as individual and unique as each practitioner,

But whatever is arising,

I encourage you to sit with,

Feel,

And ask for,

Or intuit meaning from it,

What is this visualization telling you?

What does it want you to know?

What does it want you to feel?

Keep asking and considering those questions,

But also keep a little bit of an awareness on the part of the body that you are focusing on,

Has that blockage shifted,

Or moved,

Or changed?

Sometimes the mere act of awareness is enough to shift these things that are arising,

Now when you're ready,

You may want to gently offer this visualization something,

Offer it something that will seem to sort of help the dream,

So to speak,

Rebuild that system,

Clean the nature,

Also just put things right,

For example,

If you visualized a garden,

You might want to weed some of the plots,

Or if it was a river that was clogged,

Maybe you would help unclog that river to get it flowing,

Or maybe you think that certain things need to be added,

Or removed,

Or slightly tweaked,

To just better flow,

Or maybe you've got the feeling that no changes need to be made at all,

And that's okay too,

This is your internal space,

What you're seeing arise is yours,

And even if you were to do nothing but observe and accept,

The act of observation and acceptance is healing,

And will work,

But I've often found that the way to true and lasting transformation comes from the delicate balance between radical self-acceptance,

And the drive for growth and transformation,

In this process we can start playing with that a little bit,

But only if it feels right,

You might find in that visualization you're observing it from the first person,

That is you're in the visualization as a character so to speak,

Seeing out of your own eyes,

Or maybe you're in the third person observing it from above,

But you as a figure are there,

Or maybe you as an entity are just the observer,

And the scene is playing out below you,

Maybe there are relatives or friends or people from the past in that scene,

It's all correct,

It's all okay,

This is all whatever is arising,

But perhaps there'll be something that you need to say or feel into that space,

Offering that space love or acceptance,

Perhaps guidance,

Perhaps there are some more deeper longer and specific words that need to be said,

If you need to say them,

I encourage you once again to check back and feel the physical blockage or part of your body that you were working on,

And really check in to see if it's shifted or beginning to shift,

If there's more movement there or flow,

Now for some people just one of these intuitive guidance sessions is enough,

But for others,

And particularly with deeper earlier and more specific and significant blockages that relate back to memories of events that were quite strong,

Oftentimes we need to work on this multiple times before we start to shift it,

If that's what's happening with you,

That's okay,

What we do is we thank that part of the body for allowing us to sit with it,

We acknowledge it and we let it know that if at some future time in another one of these sessions or at another time in general,

If it is something to say,

If it wants to release,

If there's something that it wants to show us,

More visualizations,

That we'll accept it,

That there's no rush,

That us in this moment now are turning our awareness and attention back and we'll help it to heal,

To move on,

To let go,

When and if it's ready,

Because although we are doing a process here,

The process is one in which we look back,

Discover and invite,

We're not forcing anything.

The final part of this intuitive guidance process is just to offer that part of you,

Yourself in general and then the world or the universe at large,

Love,

Loving kindness,

You can use a feeling of just loving connection,

We'll just offer this space the words,

May you be free of ill will,

May you be free of suffering,

May you be full of loving kindness,

May you be happy,

Offer those feelings and those sentiments,

That part to yourself and to every being and time and place,

Just sit with that sensation,

Take another slow and deep breath,

And through the nose and out through the mouth,

Just bring yourself back into the present moment,

And gently start to move your body,

Open your eyes if you like to,

Well done,

I want to thank you for coming with me on this intuitive guidance journey,

And I invite you to return back to this session at any time,

The more intuitive guidance,

Internal work that you do,

The deeper you will go and the more limiting beliefs you will identify and release,

The more blockages you will unblock and the more you will heal,

Well,

We'll see you again,

Namaste.
